i think it's also competing for a kind of moral priority. climate change is a civilizational threat and this creates a kind of discursive pressure to present AI/LLMs as at least equally threatening so that it merits attention and resources

Engine gives white an advantage here but I dunno how real it is. I thought that I could never win the pawn endgame because black could always get some kind of e4-f5, and with my king having to play defence my bishop could never cash the a/b pawns on its own.

Well, a draw against a GM where I maybe could've played for more. My thought about the endgame at the end was that it was probably a draw and I couldn't play on risk free so I accepted his offer.

did something morally questionable (accepted a draw on move 10 against a higher rated opponent when I had white). It my defence, I am tired and the line is like 75% draw in classical, and I have zero familiarity so I probably wasn't gonna generate a win if he was going to force a draw.
