PSA: Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Henri Rousseau are not the same person. He was not one guy who came up with the idea of being skeptical about owning stuff & also painted some sicko mode paintings of leopards in the jungle. They are, in fact two, “Rousseaux”. I hope that helps you in your day today.

I don’t always know what to do with it, and perhaps stupidly I don’t have any great ambition to start making “proper” crafting videos, where the videography becomes important. Random but: that thing when you put Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain by Pavement on, and the intro to Silence Kid sounds just ***perfect***. For sure I know there's a lot of nostalgia in there etc but holy cow its dialled me in to the perfect frame of mind with sounds.

You can get a second hand EOS for £120, and it’ll be a workhorse. They usually come with the default 18-55mm lens, and the world is awash with those. And it’s a pretty good one to start with, since it’s a good all rounder. I’ve had quite good luck with second hand equipment.
