I wasn't blaming bluesky. I think they might have jumped a little to quickly to comply, but the Texas AG is famous for filing frivolous lawsuits. Texas is fond of government overreach as long as the GOP is doing the reaching. Can't complain when companies don't want to bother with it.

Yeah, unless you verify your age by giving you're social security number and a copy of your driver's license to a third party verification company. I declined to do that, so now it is only accessible via a VPN.

This was an issue caused by the fact that I was standing on Pier 21 on Friday explaining to my 8yo nephew that we couldn't tour the Elissa because it was in NY. 😂 That ship is definitely MUCH larger than Elissa. I also had no idea so many of the world's tall ships are in NY right now. What a sight!

We don't have cable either, just antenna and some streaming. I have never used the built in "smart" features on our main TV, though, because my husband put an apple TV device on that and the interface is better. The stupid TV software always seems to need updating when it's inconvenient.

We went through several firesticks/Amazon TV devices before I wised up and switched to Roku. I have a Roku that's over 10 years old that still works, though these days it has to install every app as it uses it because it doesn't have enough memory.
