Later on I will upload tutorials on other assets like bushes, flowers, stones etc. which will then be assembled like in this mock up. …..AND say hi to the Cronco’s (yellow)! 37410

Hanapix @hanapix.bsky.social · 17/06/2026And its easier for a beginner to understand as well. I kinda explain it a bit in my patreon post with a short video. But also just grab the worksheet if you want to get that practice! Your support would meant a lot to me. Happy learning, Hanapix 130
Hanapix @hanapix.bsky.social · 17/06/2026or “just put the brighter leaf blobs higher above”. But explaining it and visualizing it with fundamental 3D shapes is way easier. I can go like “oh you put it near the edge of the cube” or “you only want to add small singular leaves to the shadow on the right side”. 110
Hanapix @hanapix.bsky.social · 17/06/2026Most tutorials approach it by stacking brighter colors on top of each other. But the big question is still unanswered - “where exactly do I place these blobs of leaves?”. And tbh if I were to explain it for this method I would just be like “ye just wing it”… 110
Hanapix @hanapix.bsky.social · 17/06/2026So thats kind of why I always recommend approaching it with a basic 3D object like a cube. Usually tree leaves would sit around the edge of the cubes. And all you need to do is to turn those edges into leaves. 110
Hanapix @hanapix.bsky.social · 17/06/2026The way I usually approach drawing things is with 3D shapes cause its just simply easier to imagine. For trees there is a lotta guessing games when it comes to placing every individual leaves or branches, right? 1151
