It’s week 6 of our sponsorship drive, and we have a treat for you — the new faces of Hanami, Dry and Rom! hanamirb.org/blog/2025/07...

Three colourful, smiling flower characters representing our new project logos. From left to right: a blue flower with a cyan face and simple eyes, a pink flower with a light pink face and joyful curved eyes, and an orange flower with a yellow face and playful squinting eyes, all on a white background.

The Hanami hack table at #BalticRuby was greeted by a familiar face! (And potential new user?)

A group of smiling Ruby developers gathered around a table, including Matz, the creator of Ruby!

Lately we’ve been preparing for a new website, a place to put Hanami’s community values front and centre. Then I realised, why wait? So now they’re front and centre on our current home page. We’re excited to grow a positive, safe and welcoming community for Rubyists. We’d love for you to join us!

A screenshot of the Hanami homepage, which states our community values:

“We want you to have a great time in the Hanami community! We welcome people of all backgrounds, genders and experience levels, and respect you all equally.”

“We do not tolerate nazis, transphobes, racists, or any kind of bigotry. See our code of conduct for more.”
