forcing myself to post more of my writing behind the scenes so heres whatever this is. because the twinham sandwich dynamic is heavily imbalanced. #hore

Sometimes three is a crowd, and it's of her own accord.

Forcing the Warrior of Light into a strange and open relationship between her and her brother was easy enough. After all, the two of them have always shared belongings and experiences with each other. And yet she felt at times that she was the odd one out.

Everyone knew that Ham fell for Alphinaud first. He basically manipulated her into being his puppet during his joint in the Crystal Braves, which in turn made her latch onto any authoritative figure. The affection Ham had was gradually returned by Alphinaud; but Alisaie's infatuation with her had bloomed first.

When they first met, Alisaie felt disappointed comparing Ham to the Warrior of Light she expected her to be. She envisioned her the strong silent type with a strong moral compass: akin to a knight from a children's tale. In reality she was a spineless obedient mess who jumped at her own shadow.

As time passed they got along quickly as friends, something that Alisaie realized that Ham had very few of. She was surrounded by peers and strangers who used her for their own agendas. Ham rarely sought after any company outside of her shallow group of companions.

Her relationship with Y'shtola and G'raha had deteriorated since their stint in the First. Thancred had little interest in babysitting her and would excuse himself from her company. The language barrier confused both Urianger and Ham and lacked the foundation for proper communication.

At least a few of the other scions had taken pity on her though. Lyse was a genuine friend and was eternally grateful for her help against the Garleans. Krile and Tataru were patient enough to walk her through various subjects that she had no full grasp of. And she got along well enough with the ever stoic Estinien when she didn't annoy him.

Often times Ham's way of showing friendship was to take up as little space as possible and remain in the shadows of company. Fearful of the one wrong move that would shatter the balance of peace. Because a weapon that's meant to be used isn't supposed to speak at all. Her job boiled down to only smile, nod, and win.

She wished that Ham strived for more than she had now. She wished that sometimes she would look at her the same way she looked at her brother. She wished that the feeling of being wanted was returned in any way.

But Alisaie felt selfish for wanting. The Warrior of Light had an abyss of problems that plagued her that Alisaie could not fix. Alisaie could always stomach being the second choice. Ham had been forced to do everyone's bidding since she was taken away from her old life. She wouldn't dare take away what was left of her autonomy.

It just hurt when she obviously favored one over the other.

rewatching some rtvs vods and I have to say that johnnychaos is my favorite character ever because this is how ham would type on forums

Johnnychaos, portrayed by a tinypic error icon, posting: I knew it the others gets replies when they make threads and when I make one nobody says anything I was thinking about this a lot and I think people don’t like me which makes my mind swirl and spin.

My mind was spinning and swimming last night because I couldn’t sleep because someone got banned a couple of days ago and then a technical glitch made it so my posts were hacked. Then I got a warning. My chest behind to pop and vibrate.

Johnnychaos in the chat room: I hope I don’t get banned. I really hope I never get banned. From here. I hope I don’t break any rules without knowing it.

trying to make ham care about herself or literally anything at all about the world around her before she hits the “im not a real person” line

rose quartz from Steven universe and her “im not a real person” scene. i know this is about bisexuality but in the ham context it’s about the loss of individuality and autonomy and objectification.

i like when minfilia haunts the narrative so bad it’s hurting herself and everyone around her and the entire reflection #hamhammedia

the ghost of minfilia and the haunted blonde ryne asking: do I look like your girlfriend? a reference to the niche indie game silent hill 2. because i think the physical representation that’s projected onto ryne would go crazy. that’s an essay for someone else.

thancred is here with no comment.

huge blast to the past with this comic from 2023? Or so? anyways no one knows when ham’s bday is because hamaon keeps avoiding her ire #hamhammedia #hore

Comic with a scary ham and nervous hamaon.
Ham: I think my friends were right about you.
Hamaon: oh? About what?
Ham: you always dismiss me, and you’re always taking credit. I don’t think you respect me at all.

Hamaon: is that what you think?
Ham is silent.
Hamaon: I see. I have something to say to you as well
Hamaon with the emergency party popper: happy name day!!! It’s your birthday!!! Yay!!!
Ham, instantly appeased: omg really!!
Hamaon, sweating with a thumbs up: yep!

going through my gpose folder to find something to paint and i was quite the photographer. heres the twins kicking hampapa down stairs:

alisaie angrily eyeing up the evil hamaon as alphinaud tries to soothe her.

alisaie has kicked hamaon cartoonishly down the stairs as alphinaud watches as a bystander.

the scene is zoomed out comedically. hamaon has like an entire flight to tumble down.

i love writing wuk lamat and ham bc ham has sooooo many issues. in general. that bleeds into wuk lamat #ffxivwrite2026 ellipsus.com/read/54A1QEv...

Wuk Lamat and Ham over a railing.

Fic Snippet: The relationship between the two felines felt strained, or perhaps heavily one sided. Wuk Lamat thought of the world of Ham and believed her to be a great and mighty hero. Ham saw herself in Wuk Lamat in all of the worst ways to the point of resenting her very being. But of course, they were friends because their friends were friends.

fic numba 1 . Because I wanted to finally write how Ham even got her horrid trash can armor. Gift from her sister! #ffxivwrite2026

Ham holding the head of her ARR helmet for this fic. she’s frightened by it.

Fic Snippet: Ham perked up at her name and let her jaw hang with horror. "Me…?" She meekly asked. "I… I have no use for…" She glanced down at the desecrated armor again. The dark shadows from inside the cuirass intimidated her. Something would launch from the darkness to bite her and not let go.
