I looked it up, just to confirm. Generally a decent summation of a Japanese word. More in the comments on its pearly use. When I experience it, it’s among the most meaningful experiences in my life.

I knew it would be visually spectacular, and it was, with many scenes like paintings brought to life, but I also really liked the story and characters in this third incarnation of the famous silent movie. I expect I’ll be turning it over in my head for a bit. A strong first impression.

I was dragging my feet on Star Wars: Skeleton Crew because it felt too kiddie, but I feel like it's got its feet by the third episode. Still kiddie, but the interactions are getting sharper and wittier. Jude Law enhances the dynamic.

I’m late-to-the-party playing this - it’s incredibly fun! Great use of Marvel lore, and I love the turn-based gameplay.

I guess it’s no surprise Gen X’s love of detached irony got commodified into a soda in the early 90s, but I’ll confess nostalgia for it

Absolutely wild. The dude’s own mother. He must be a grade-a creep.

The Hubble “Extreme Deep Field” photo. This is from a section of sky less than one-tenth the width of the moon. That section alone is home to over 5500 entire galaxies.

I watched a decent number of spooky movies last month and these were the biggest winners for me. Mostly new movies, but Eyes Without a Face is some real creepiness dating back to 1960. French flick, and I learned the edited American version was called The Horror Chamber of Dr. Faustus 😜
