Look you just have to make the cool weird shit that excites you. You must. In this world besieged by bland, scrubbed boring, computer slop, you must. Make the thing you’re embarrassed to make, the thing that feels “too much” because otherwise we get drowned in a sea of cowardly work made by a button

The fic premise of "fantasy au where SH has to have a talk with the boys (specifically HJ and San) about not getting homicidal if someone makes comments about the dress SH is wearing to the ball, but nobody dares say anything in the face of his 7 glaring boyfriends" has such staying power in my mind

Attention fic writers about Google Drive! Back uo your stories so you don't loose them. A friend recommended ellipsus as an alternative. Please share/distribute to your writer friends <3

Tumblr screenshot by maerossi reading "Everone: Please don't write your books in Google Docs. Frankly don't use Google Drive for personal stuff. Their terms of service say they take down stuff like content related to terrorism and trafficking, but my deleted Google Sheet was literally a list of movies Id watched thi year and books I'd read." Then another post by OP: "Holy smokes guys. It's way worse than I thouht. Google actually took away access to every single file of fiction wrtiting I'd made on that account. BUT I backed it up on Scrivener yesterday by coincidence. So I haven't lost my work, but I could have lost the 12,000 words I've written this month after a year of really intense writer's block. I honestly don't know what that would have done to my pyche. Please be careful out there, folks! <3". END ID.

Tumblr screenshot by bubbly-boi reading: "Hey horny writer lil heads up for you guys, the AI google is forcing into docs to "scan for grammar errors" has been proved to also be scanning for spicy content and multiple ppl have already got notifs saying like "we are sorry, there was a system error and some of your work was lost" and it was only the horny stuf so uh". Then a reply by abyssalzOne-nsfmc: "hello horny writers of tumblr this is your shine to try out ellipsus instead of google docs. It's completely free and the team behind it have a strong stance against the use of AI in creative spaces. I haven't been using it long but it works beautifully." END ID.
