On a logical level, I get it: you push early, you get in line, and with some luck, you make your arrival early. Everyone wins. In practice, if things are the least bit busy, you just get moved out to the penalty box until your scheduled departure anyway. Sucks for everyone.

I still know at least one guy that unironically uses an iPod Shuffle for workouts, despite it being ancient and totally EOL. Turns out a simple device that is “random music box” that can be had for $30-40 so it’s not a big deal if lost/damaged is exactly what he wants.
