I can't believe I'm having to say this AGAIN, but if you've left a joke review on any of the real locations featured in vivid/stasis, please remove it. It is OBSCENELY disrespectful to do so and I'd like to hope the community I've accumulated is better than this.

polymorphite will receive a Public Gameplay Demo on September 22nd, 2026. The first version of this demo will contain five songs and a tutorial, as well as a preview of the Concepts mechanic. A content update for the demo will follow in October, containing a preview of Aspects, and 1 more song.

49726 97

Hajimeli @hajimeli.net · 21/08/2026

There are a variety of Concepts, each with their own unique effects. These are not meant to be assist options; using Concepts is a crucial part of building your characters in polymorphite, so don't neglect them, or feel like they're cheating! The demo coming out this quarter will contain 6 concepts.

1190 19

Hajimeli @hajimeli.net · 21/08/2026

But you can't just equip every Concept! Concepts each have a CPU Cost, which is taken out of the character's CPU stat. You can only put so much strain on CPUs, after all. Concepts also have a Min. Level. The sum of all of the character's Aspects' levels must be greater than the minimum to equip it.

1210 21

Hajimeli @hajimeli.net · 21/08/2026

Upon clearing a song, aside from receiving Experience to progress the story, you will also receive Modules that come in three types, corresponding to each Perspective. Modules have a few uses, but primarily, they are used to materialize Concepts, unique equipment with advanced effects.

In polymorphite, everything about your score is determined by your character's statistics and capabilities; but there's still raw rhythm game accuracy to take into account! At the end of a song, you'll be graded on both your rhythm game prowess and your performance in decrypting data blocks.

(There was really no reason to make the board game map so large, but I thought of the idea of basing it off of the Tokyo rail map and committed way too hard... attached is a screenshot of the full map from the proprietary editor I built to make designing it easier)

Once an Aspect has been developed, it can be equipped to one of a character's five Aspect slots. Characters don't level up traditionally in polymoprhite; it's up to you to mess around with Aspects to build your characters how you want to!

2220 22

Hajimeli @hajimeli.net · 22/07/2026

Each space you stop on will have either a benefit or adverse effect on the Aspect being developed. Benefits can be raising stats, increasing overall level, and more, but adverse effects may lower your stats or force you to draw a card with a modifier that hinders your strategy.

1200 20

Hajimeli @hajimeli.net · 22/07/2026

You start with 5 cards and 25 turns, and every time you play a card, you take a turn, and one card is drawn. However, a lot of options exist to manipulate these mechanics, like cards that don't consume turns, or draw more cards. Hand manipulation is key to ensuring a strong Aspect is developed!

1200 20

Hajimeli @hajimeli.net · 22/07/2026

Transit Mode takes place on a board game-like map based on the layout of Tokyo's rail network. Across a set amount of turns, you'll play cards from your hand that move you various spaces, and provide other effects like drawing extra cards, exchanging your hand for a new one, and more!

1251 25

Hajimeli @hajimeli.net · 22/07/2026

While progressing through polymorphite's story, you will unlock "Cores", named after various gemstones. Cores come with a base set of statistics, but you can't do much with Cores on their own; you have to develop them into Aspects through Transit Mode!
