rest in peace, mario kart tour i can’t believe it’s over, that game was a huge part of what got me through high school, i had so much fun with it over the years, and now they’re just shutting down the servers for no reason. ngl im kinda emotional about it

is it bad that the thing that keeps me going rn is the hope that something incredible will happen, even though i fear there’s a pretty decent chance it’s never actually gonna happen

i’ve noticed my body having physically aged a bit recently such that simply being in certain positions hurts a lot more than it used to i didn’t think that would’ve started at 21 but i suppose so

i was already stressing out about the fact that i have been working hard on so much stuff at once and i was on the verge of completely falling behind, and then today i was just given a big assignment due in only a few days and a sudden full shift at work tomorrow on top of all the other stuff

i always forget how fun mariokart tour is until i come back to it, im so sad it’s coming to an end of service. i’ve played it on-and-off since like 6am on release day (i was a freshman in high school), so i fondly remember my time with it

110

Hailey @hailkops.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

ngl i have a theory, especially based on recent events, that the creator of a certain game i grew up playing for half my life is actually genuinely like some kinda villain who preys on young kids and it’s really not a good look not gonna say who im talking about but iykyk

i don’t like having an 8am class but at least it’s something i’m excited to go to (french) if it was just another cs lecture i do not picture myself keeping up with it, but luckily it’s something im interested in

today i have begun to realize how jam-packed my schedule is gonna be this semester: 4 courses + irl job + editing commissions + (hopefully) finishing some personal projects i’ve put off for months i’d say im cautiously optimistic, i love having a lot to do but also yeah its kinda a LOT ngl

had an eye-opening convo/argument and my takeaway is the following (thread): most societal norms are stupid, a lot of people agree on this, and yet many people still mindlessly go along with them like sheep because that’s the way things are and you just have to live with it.

you ever feel so excited for something that it wraps around to you being nervous? where you just constantly think about every way it could go wrong, bc that’s where i’m at rn

is watching a show in a foreign language with english subtitles a good way to learn the language? better yet, would swapping between english dub + foreign sub and foreign dub + english sub each episode or something an effective way to learn the basics of a language? or is one better than the other

i’m so so glad i have something super exciting to look forward to if things work out, it just sucks a little that it could be really hard to plan and make it work

i’ve never really played a life-sim myself but i kinda wanna try playing something like fields of mistria without talking to any npcs unless absolutely required and see what happens, see what kinds of things i’d miss out on bc im sure it’d be quite a bit lol

i love when resolve refuses to show audio waveforms for two hours so i’m like “fine i’m just gonna use shotcut instead” and then as soon as i open shotcut the audio waveforms finally show up

010

Hailey @hailkops.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

23 pages and well over 10k words the script is finally finished time to finally edit the rest of this into a probably hour-long final thing, it’ll be a lot of work but i’m happy to be well on my way to getting this done finally

platonic friendships are so awesome but i wish i could live near my online friends so we could see each other and hang out every day also as someone who is not touchy at all, if i ever meet my online friends id probably wanna hug them forever <3

saw the new spiderman movie and ngl it might be my favorite mcu film since endgame if not for one little thing that annoyed me a tiny bit but it counts as a spoiler lol, so i’ll not talk about it for now

011

Hailey @hailkops.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

the best part of resolve is i can make the playback window super small compared to shotcut, so when the practically nude man appears on the screen i can just shrink the window and not have to fear what’d happen if someone walked by and saw

Hailey @hailkops.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

budgeted out the rest of the summer with a bunch of small deadlines to hopefully finally finish the mario party video before september rolls around i wonder how long before i miss a deadline and all that planning was for naught i imagine it’ll happen pretty quickly knowing myself

010

Hailey @hailkops.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

finally trying davinci resolve after far too long, let's see if its as good as people always say it is i've made do with shotcut for 6.5 years and it does the trick pretty well but is not without flaws, so i'm optimistic about resolve maybe being better in some (or all) ways

ngl sometimes i wanna try dog treats i mean if they taste the same as they’re advertised then they probably would taste at least decent and im curious. plus im not too far from being a furry so its kinda on brand

i wish i could participate in art fight but sadly im bad at drawing and i dont have the time atm anyway it sounds like a LOT of fun though! and it gives skilled artists an extra excuse to make awesome art which i think is very cool

sometimes a certain person will do something so meaningful and kind to me that i wish i could travel hundreds or thousands of miles just to give them the biggest hug i can as someone who usually hates physical contact i think this means a lot
