They've been on the market since 2022, nobody noticed because they're stealthy.

I'm not sure it's a strategy in as much as it is a lack of experience being strategic or visionary. He just doesn't know any better.

Do you believe the leader of the January 6th insurrection perceives a difference?

it all depends on who you think they're actually selling to :)

The guy selling shovels tells you there's plenty more gold in them thar hills? What else would you expect them to say?

Dean's got some pretty strong opinions for a guy who's running strategy at the world's biggest venture capital scam of all time.

Just remember you're the result of the being the result of those who survived the perils of every generation who's come before you. That's all the pedigree we need.

Not so far. White nationalism is pretty on-brand for Christianity.

The WAPO article also points out that it's unclear how Anthropic is cooking these numbers up since we're still in May, and it's non-GAAP EBITDA. Smells less like real progress, and more like a tactical press release against OpenAI's funding push.

Not to minimize the problem Trump is, but his buddies are the real problem. They'll keep pushing this exploitative, backwards mindset long after he's done.

They can’t retain customers where their pricing hasn’t go, and they have no moat. Better to stem the bleeding now.

I don't think we should take his beliefs seriously. I do think we should take the threat he presents seriously.

1) That's not a valid assumption; they're susceptible to hype, and convinced of their own superior judgement. 2) It presumes honest intent.

Yes, I'm olde, I recall :) My point is that the media is pouring an accelerant on the fire through the injudicious use of terminology.

My pet peeve is routinely calling people across the aisle enemies instead of opponents. It shits how people think about the divide from being disagreement to an existential battle. I don't think it serves anyone well.

The cost is the 800 pound issue. I've found a source for $500/quarter, but people are paying $1000+ per month for something that literally costs a few dollars to make. The Pharma companies should make a profit, but these markups are abusive.

I have a needle phobia but take a GLP-1 weekly anyway. I don't know a single person that hesitates because it's an injection. The bigger issue I see is the cost, and the logistics of storing +transporting refrigerated meds with a limited shelf life. Pills would be a win, especially when traveling.

I believe the OEM are, and foam for noise deadening. They're good tires but a set of 4 can run you 1600+

Hadley S. Hope @hadleyshope.bsky.social · 05/04/2026
Absolutely, mine eats tires. To add insult to injury the OEM tires are hideously expensive. I'd totally take my Model 3 to Discount Tire.

Thank you. The blue-anon conspiracy theories do not serve anyone other than our political opposition to demoralize us We simply failed to motivate enough people to vote and we lost. We have to do better next go-around.

This is a classic ICOD (information cut-off date) problem of using stale data. A human could have made the same mistake. Outsourcing decisions at scale to unreliable systems is an amplifier, not the proximal cause. Wholly unnecessary since this was a choice on the attacker's side,

Speaking as ex-military and a developer who uses AI, it's both relevant and irrelevant. It's critical to keep the ultimate responsibility on the operators, but also important to raise the issue of how unsafe it is to over over-reliance on automated systems to make life and death decision.

One of my doppelgangers (A party DJ in Los Angeles) gave my email to his entire family back in Texas, and his college study group. People thought I was pranking when I told them they had the wrong person. It boggles the mind.

Hadley S. Hope @hadleyshope.bsky.social · 03/03/2026
Possibly because they don't notice they're not getting them. Like the guy with my name who uses my email to make his barbershop appointments. I'd bet he has no idea they send an email confirmation. He makes the appointment, and moves on with his day while I get peppered with reminders.

Nope, very real problem. I use a dot, and two people with my name sign up for things without the dot. I get their correspondence regularly.

Hadley S. Hope @hadleyshope.bsky.social · 03/03/2026
No, it’s a very real problem. Google’s not issuing it, the user is simply entering the wrong email on 3rd party sites and they’re not verifying it before emailing to it.

No, they don’t get it, only you do. They’re not signing up with Google.

Given Facebook what database? Facebook has billions of images uploaded to their servers, and helpfully tagged by the posters and their friends. Be more worried about the Feds using Facebook's database.
