If wearing functional gym gear means you're "asking for it" then Tom Selleck in 1982 was the biggest whore in Western civilization. Get a grip. #snl

Conspiracy theories are worse than general misinformation. It's like an irresistible quicksand causing people to quadruple down. That desire is met. 🎯

Abuse and violence happen to people you like and people you don’t. People you trust and people you don't cause real harm whether or not you believe it. Every time, “they’d never do that” & “I don’t believe them.” Disbelief is common. Silence is the result. #domesticviolence #epsteinfiles
A photo of a person with light hair in a messy bun, seen from behind, sitting on a rocky overlook and looking out at distant blue mountains under a cloudy sky. Overlaid text reads: “It is not my burden to present as the kind of victim you’re willing to believe.” The quote is attributed to “~Mandy,” with the handle “@pottymouthpollyanna” at the bottom.

A charming backyard bird feeder turns into a horror show when a Cooper’s hawk devours Charlie the chickadee, whom you personally fattened for months. #birds #nature #hawks #croppedoutofrespect
A coopers hawk perched on a bare tree limb, leaning down. Lunch cropped out.

"You can’t buy real friends." Yeah, well, my mom bought me a birdfeeder, and now I have a diverse posse that actually shows up. They’re messy but at least they check in. #birding
Tufted titmouse sitting on a clear bird feeder filled with black seeds and green foliage background.

💯 🌈⭐ #chronicillness
A thread post and a reply. Post from ImmuneConfidentMD "as an immunologist I see patients with misbehaving immune systems, allergies, deficiencies, autoimmunity, mast cell activation, dysautonomia. They often universally feel unheard. Why does our healthcare system struggle to validate their unique experiences?" The reply from Laurenjonik "because these conditions both which I was diagnosed with a 2009 affect women more than men and women are not trusted to be accurate narrators of their own experiences."

If ya can't comprehend that, good for you on your lucky, ignorant life. #chronicillness #disability
Threads post from user fullmetalharmony: Eliminating telehealth, which many disabled people like myself rely heavily on, is an act of eugenics.

Text reads "the no Fs left effect. Many pots patients say they've changed: less patience for explaining symptoms, more blunt and assertive, no time for small talk or sugarcoating things. Have you noticed this shift in yourself?" Bottom of image is a hand pointing up at text, person talking with circle and line through it, upset body of Burnette cartoon woman looking at her watch "Image is of a scene in older Willy Wonka and Chocolate factory movie close up of actor Genre Wilder mid yelling towards end of film.

Lest we forget the slippery slope of horrors of turning human beings into things.
Photo of Polish concentration camp buildings from World War II with text "in 1945, World War II, so the troops liberated the Nazi concentration camps in Auschwitz and Birkenau in Poland"

The trans pop here is 1.6% with a *suicide attempt rate of 32% to 50%* across countries. They could be people you love in your family. They're not always open. You don't have to be comfortable to be a decent human being and let them be. NEWSFLASH: they exist whether or not you know about it.
3 people in front of a building holding a sign that reads "respect my trans homies or I'm gonna identify as a fucking problem"

If you don't let #chronicillness or #disability control your life, cool. It's not that bad for you yet. Good for you. It's not willpower.
Post from Wonder Cripple :
Weet need to stop thinking about disability as soon being that we either allow our don't admire to gety in the way of shit. My disability does what it wants. And it stops me from doing things, I can't help that. It's got nothing to do with me allowing it to do anything.

Dysautonomia International Facebook post :
Exciting news for Sjogren’s patients! A phase 2 trial of nipocalimab reduced markers of disease activity by 70%, resulting in the FDA granting breakthrough therapy status to the drug, which allows for an accelerated regulatory pathway.

Sjogren’s is the second most common cause of autonomic neuropathy, so this treatment has the potential to help a lot of people with dysautonomia once it becomes commercially available.

Read the press release from Johnson & Johnson, which oens the drug:
