I noticed this pink tinge to the sky above the Melbourne CBD yesterday morning. Thought it was odd, but pretty. Then discover on Reddit today that it is literal grow lights on Marvel Stadium to help the grass grow!?! But like… what about the light pollution??

I forgot to update when it happened, but I have the full set of pins now 🤓

A set of pins/badges for the Melbourne Metro opening. There’s one for each station (Parkville, Anzac, Arden, Town Hall, and State Library) and then one extra for Metrotunnel.
The pins are metal, round, and almost a sky-blue in colour, with the sign for each station in shiny metal.

This heat is getting scary, yo. Predicted high of 45°, and almost everywhere across Victoria that isn’t the Melbourne metro area is RED DANGER on the Emergency app ‼️😳

I’m a few days late, but husband and I just celebrated our first year in Melbourne and I’m just so thankful we did it and it’s working well for us (even if I am coming up 5 months unemployed 😂)! What a life. I love this city.

Ohh I did GOOD for dinner tonight!

A dinner table set for two with miso soup in a mug, plain rice, smashed cucumber salad, and handmade (except the wrappers) gyoza - fried and then steamed to perfection. Delicious!
