🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 04/09/2026and yeah, the original unofficial info on expected shelf-life of the renegade was at least 2 years, maybe 3 (cant rememeber), but it was cut short to 2025 alone. i also read that in usa explorer used to be routinely 50% off at walmarts (wish i could get it that cheap! maybe id have two if i could) 100
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 04/09/2026yea, renegade is still definitely cheaper than msrp in my region also, and you can even a used explorer for what ive given for it in 2023. its just that i would need them to be even cheaper to justify the purchase, so im not gonna ;•) (unless i happen to catch some absurd offer) 100
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 02/09/2026i would definitely like to see them do more space throwbacks; maybe one of them could grab me in a similar way the explorer did and i could get another spaceship that way! dont know that they would tho given the renegade was retired early 100
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 02/09/2026hahah yea, thats why im not after either of them! i bought my 10497 2nd hand still during production, i just waited a *long* time for the nice time to put it together. it is my only big set, very special! i mostly go for kids playsets parents sell on vinted cheap when their child gets bored etc 100
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 01/09/2026but i would so love to build both of the set's models. seem so fun to play with!!! as for the explorer i love it to bits and probably will end up displaying the B model but then again… to get another i would need to score one cheap enough to justify it while i *already have one* ;•) 110
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 01/09/2026oh, i *would* like the renegade! but… havent been able to justify the expense because part-wise its mostly just a kilo of black pieces and as it's not really the color scheme / vibe for me to keep assembled in my room i would need to get it cheap enough to justify buying a kilo of black pieces haha 100
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 01/09/2026can't leave out whom i don't have in my box: that is to say i have left out a couple more blueys ;•) 100
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 01/09/2026finally built my 10497 (this is an official lego set, for the uninitiated) and then manned it with furries 1141
🌑 @gzygzak.alaflora.net · 22/05/2026we placed the order (*checks calendar*) two days ago … how the heck is it here??? 2291
