My coworker brought in cookies today, and let me tell you, this butterscotch walnut one is a 10/10. Nothing tastes better than homemade baked goods. Know what else is homemade? My self-published fantasy novellas. Note: Despite their homemade nature, I can't guarantee the books taste good.

Today's cookie comes from Walmart's Your Fresh Market brand, and it is...fine. 4/10. Not the worst cookie I've had, but I'm definitely not recommending it to anyone. You know what I would recommend? Picking up a copy of The Dulled Edge, available now wherever you get your books.

Another Cobourg market day means another cookie, this time a chocolate chip from Black Cat. 7/10. A good cookie, but it feels like it's missing something that could make it truly great. LIke how your bookshelf is missing Book 2 of the Sparrows Trilogy, The Dulled Edge, out everywhere August 14.

Got this oatmeal chocolate chip cookie from Prep Food Company in Cobourg today. 8/10, nice and moist with a good amount of chocolate in it. Very enjoyable snacking experience. Almost as enjoyable as my new book, The Dulled Edge, out everywhere August 14

Sometimes it really sucks coming up with a better idea partway through a draft. I know it will make for a better story when everything is finished, but it sure does suck having to delete half my draft because it just doesn't work with the new direction.
