Finally finished the knight part of my House Vyronii HH army. Just have 20 Solar Auxilia to paint, and I’ll have a full 2000 points.

I spent two weeks of hobby time gluing models together, so have only just got back to knight number 3.

I finally got the base on knight #2 done, and I’ve got a bit further with #3.

Painted this. Challenging build and paint, in the best way.

www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articl... I saw this today, and had to show off my very own original... Although it's a bit beaten up after HOW MANY YEARS??!!!, I still have most of the components.

Last night's game. Victory for the Mechanicum (Or me, the Me-chanicum?) by one whole VP.

3230

Guy Haley @guyhaley.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

Friday’s game. I got my arse handed to me. I was winning all my battles as Mechanicum, then my opponent invested in a 10-man volkite caliver heavy support squad. In this game, I was down for the first term, and brazenly deployed in the open, only for my mate to seize the imitative. Ouch.

1313

Guy Haley @guyhaley.bsky.social · 08/02/2025

Finished. I suppose I’ll end up with two, when I inevitably buy the new heavy support box.

Current WIP. Weathering next. It’s a resin model, in case you think I somehow blagged one of the new plastics. Point of fact, I bought a load of resin Mechanicum like the week before the first plastics were announced. 🤦‍♂️ Then I bought all the plastics too.

It’s been too cold to spray anything new, so I’ve been painting stuff I started but never finished.

My work in progress has progressed to a point where it’s finished. #nerdlings #warhammercommunity

Here’s my take on the same theme.

Guy Haley @guyhaley.bsky.social · 29/11/2024

Work in progress progresses. I’ve not had much painting time these last two weeks, but I’m trying to finish one element when I can for a session in.

All those dead titans lying on the table? Those are @gavthorpe.bsky.social ‘s titans. 🤭

The Silent King, announced yesterday. A long time in the making this one. I remember when I was offered the Dawn of Fire job, one of the considerations I had before accepting was that it'd take up the next five years of my life. It did, and it's flown by.

More work in progress. I've added a stack to the chimney because it looked weird hanging there on its own. Now the piece has some real heft to it. Need to finish the base, the stack, the lower tank half and platform. After that, I'll add some details. #Warhammer #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity

Battle for the refinery last night. Horus Heresy, 2500pts, Mechanicum versus World Eaters, Bad Blood mission. It was my dear old pal's to get nearly tabled. At 7VPs to 0. Note WIP domed scenery. Thought I could at least use the top bit! #Warhammer #Nerdlings #WarhammerCommunity

Here’s my WIP. The painting needs finishing, and I’ll be adding some nice extra detail.

Guy Haley @guyhaley.bsky.social · 12/11/2024

I’m updating all my Sector Mechanicus scenery. I’ve had these assembled and painted for a while, but I’ve glued it into one high piece and based it (just need to paint the base edge!) I’ve got loads half painted years back, and am working on now, so I’ll have enough big pieces to theme a table.

Guy Haley @guyhaley.bsky.social · 09/11/2024

Last night’s game. World Eaters versus Mechanicum, Secure the Crash site. I nearly got tabled. Terrible dice rolls played their role, but poor deployment was the real cause of defeat.

Guy Haley @guyhaley.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

I finished this scrapper just in time for last night’s game.

Getting ready for my regular game night. HH World Eaters versus loyalist Legio Cybernetica Mechanicum, 2500 points. A couple of proxies in my army there for a Vulturax and a Krios.

So here's a happy hobby thing, the Mechanicum army I'm working on for Horus Heresy: Age of Darkness (Apologies, I'm bad at taking pictures).
