This is NacreMoon, one of the leaders of Collective Unconscious. This isn’t a CU official response or something, this is what I want to say. I don’t feel right continuing to keep quiet. Screenshots of notes because I can’t truncate my thoughts and feelings.

I was told about the grooming situation (after the fact) with a very biased recounting of events, asked to defend Hyo if it ever got out, and I fully believe my demotion by the YNO admins on CU was at least partially due to me eventually confronting Hyo in DMs and telling him that I didn’t think he took proper responsibility.

I believe this because, during the conversation when Somnium told me about my demotion, he berated me for accusing Hyo of not taking enough responsibility.

I was told Hyo did not try to intervene with the victim because he was worried for her mental health and her being suicidal, and even while I felt empathetic that it could be a difficult situation to be in and cause one to make poor judgements, I still thought it was not the correct decision. Eventually the flippant treatment of the situation, such as Hyo calling the victim “mentally unhinged” and claiming that she just had a grudge against him, and the focus on *him* as an equal or even greater victim weighed on me.

There are additional ways the YNO admins and their friends treated me, including when I visited a few of them irl, that have grievously affected my own mental health for the past months. Some of my close friends have heard about these, and I did not realize until long after that it was pretty serious. They have a way with making you think every issue is your fault and that you deserve poor treatment. I buried all my misgivings because I was convinced they were good and admirable people and so I must be the problem.

I haven’t spoken publicly about this until now because I was afraid of even more retaliation from YNO with CU being in an already fragile state (and tbh afraid of them in general), but I am tired of walking on eggshells and avoiding upsetting people who have done so much harm in this community. I’m sorry for my silence until now; I’m honestly disgusted with myself for ever being friends with the YNO admins. Sam’s transphobia is just another thing they’ve tried to downplay and bury.

Hi, I’d love to do this! Can you DM me to talk more? (I have a lot of examples but I don’t want to flood a thread with them lol)

i want to collaborate with other artists to create a tarot card deck cover series! we’ve already got many talented artists on the project. DM me or join the thread in new_ethereal_ideas in the colunc dev server to join! (border by @peanutkix.bsky.social , cards shown done by me)

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

in addition to dev content, i drew a book cover for the stunning event in @erikhtho.bsky.social ’s dream fen. in other news, though, i’m aiming to have a lot more covers drawn for 0.5.0! like… dozens maybe. with the help of other artists, that is.

i woke her up once so i could check her paw markings as reference (which she didn’t appreciate). i’m so happy i could immortalize molly in this game. the golden doodle is based on my school’s therapy dog and my piano teacher’s dog. not as much to it lol

100

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

my dog, molly, was deteriorating in health at the time i made the world. she passed two weeks after i submitted my patch for this update. i knew she didn’t have long, so i decided to design the GSP off of both of my dogs, but her specifically.

100

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

the dogs in this world are pretty much the only part that don’t appear in my dreams frequently. i think i had a dream with a dog while making the world and then thought they were a common aspect for some reason but they really aren’t. i kept them in for a separate reason.

100

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

the other world, stalls and stoplights, is about common themes that appear in my dreams. absurdly dangerous driving (which somehow never gets me in any trouble), forgetting to pack my suitcase for every trip, and public bathrooms with no stalls.

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

here’s a slightly different version of the toku city background. from left to right, we have: a kaiju (godzilla), a giant (ultraman), a cyborg (kikaider), a wolf (garo), a magical girl, rangers (super sentai/power rangers), and a rider (kamen rider).

110

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

tokusatsu city was a world created out of my burning desire to add as many toku references to the game as possible, and to house my sentai/ranger-themed visage! i had the dev server vote on which color ranger minnat would be, and they chose violet

100

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2025

guys guess what… i added TWO worlds in the collective unconscious update released today on @ynoproject.bsky.social ! the names are “tokusatsu city” and “stalls and stoplights”. they’re accessible from shrimp zone -> neon star hall and obelisks -> pulsing pathway.

this npc’s name is greaser-kun. he is not gentaro kisaragi from kamen rider fourze. don’t get them confused also namedude i swear the similarities with the thing were not intentional

A Discord message from gusterrr on July 30th, 2024, saying, “happy friendship day i’m not going back on this decision”. Attached is the NPC Greaser-kun’s sprite, which portrays a faceless human with a pompadour wearing a typical greaser outfit.

speaking of breaking shit, huge shoutout to the staff of colunc for putting up with me and helping me throughout the process. i asked a lot of dumb questions and they always gave patient and informational responses

A screenshot of a Discord exchange. The first message’s sender is cut off, and the visible text says “there’s this event that changes through a few graphics, wanna make sure it’s intentional and not a bug”. There are two screenshots attached, one of an NPC in the parking-lot area of Commons, and the other of objects in the cafeteria area of Commons.
Below that are two messages from guster. The first message says, “the latter is intentional, i thought it was funny looking and added to the atmosphere so i kept it in. the former is a mistake”. The second message says, “the latter can be removed if you want it to because i did not think it through that much and would be fine”.

A screenshot of a Discord exchange. The first message is from peanutkix (NacreMoon). It says, “Hey quick question, is this sprite movement intentional?”, with an attached GIF of objects in the cafeteria section of Commons.
A reply from guster is beneath it, saying, “yep”.

A screenshot of a Discord exchange between maple and guster. the first messages are from maple—the first line is blacked out, and the second one says, “is this intentional”, with an attached video of an object in the cafeteria area in Commons.
guster replies with a message that has been blacked out, with maple responding, “ah, i see”. guster then says, “and yes it’s intentional”. maple says “got it”.
guster continues by saying, “that makes three managers asking about this thing for no real reason”, and, “sunk cost fallacy”.

naturally, special thanks go out to cicadap, who made the other half of this world (and 7 others in this update! wow!!!) and whom i likely never would have finished this without. not only for encouraging me, but also helping me during the like 5 times i didn’t know how to merge builds and broke shit

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 30/03/2025

this world was an incredibly ambitious one to choose as my first, with absolutely no prior experience with pixel art or rpg maker, but it’s very personal to me. it’s loosely based on a dream that i had a year after finishing middle school.

You can also just “claim” a character or multiple if writing about a whole show sounds like too much pressure. DM me to join the Discord server!

121

guster @gusterrr.bsky.social · 15/11/2024

This is a collaborative project. “Claiming” seasons is first-come-first-serve—Blade, Kabuto, Ghost, Saber, Geats, Gavv, and part of Zero-One have already been “taken” as of posting—but you’re free to add things on if you want to, and to discuss the media with others.
