Construction has begun on a new Earthquake-Resilient home for 104 year-old second world war veteran Uttar Bahadur Limbu, Ex 3/8 GR. This new home will help to ensure that Uttar can spend his twilight years in peace, safety, and dignity.

This Remembrance Sunday, we remember the brave soldiers who gave their lives or suffered for us in war. Over 90,000 Gurkha soldiers served in the British Army during World War One, of whom more than 20,000 were wounded or killed. We will remember them.

Madan Bahadur Rai lives with is wife Suku in eastern Nepal. Madan served in GTR before being made redundant and returning to Nepal. Now, at 78 years of age, GWT are providing him with medical care for COPD as well as his monthly pension. Thank you for helping us look after veterans like Madan. 🙏

94 year-old Gurkha veteran Man Bahadur Gurung is the devoted father of 3 children, a son who is blind and 2 daughters with learning disabilities. Thanks to your support, last year we were able to build him an Earthquake-Resilient Home and more recently provided a complete bedding set. 🙏

On this day in 1944, Rifleman Sherbahadur Thapa gave his life in the Battle of San Marino, showing bravery beyond measure. Facing relentless fire, he charged enemy positions, rescued his comrades, and stood firm until the end. For his courage and sacrifice, he was awarded the Victoria Cross.

Our AWC in Syangja recently hosted a week-long pension distribution and medical clinic! After a temporary pause for safety concerns, it was wonderful to see our beneficiaries back to collect their pensions and receive vital medical support, including check-ups, medicine, and vaccinations.
