We've got our physical, paper versions of our anthology comics in! You can buy them in-person this Saturday at the TransFuse Night Market this Saturday in Grand Rapids! Meet @kdhynamo.art , @gunzil.bsky.social , and @eatonmousead.bsky.social while you're there!

A physical comic on top of a rug. The title reads: Cinnamon Switch presents Cinnamon Switcharoo Mice Tea Comic Anthology Vol. 2.

A subtitle reads Cerulean Cat and a credit says Written by Zoe S. Figueroa

The illustration features a shocked, feminine cat antho wearing a blue turtleneck sweater and holding a cup of tea. This is Sam Laine, the protagonist from Crossed Signals in the outfit of Margaret de Campos from Mice Tea.

Thumbnails of the interior proceed as follows:
Featuring the artistic talents of
blackshirtboy - Char's in Charge
Luna Awoona - The Tea That Crosses Your Signals
popcore - Rich Girl Rumbl

A comic opened to show a spread of two pages. The comic stars characters from the visual novel Mice Tea

Page 1: Julie Lin, a chubby twentysomething with a black hair in a bob cut wearing a purple tshirt featuring a pickle with the caption "Dill with It" slides open the door to her van at night. She groans "Goddamn! I did not expect that skinny bitch to hold that much liquor." She falls face first on her mattress. Over the next five panels, she transforms in her sleep into a clone the svelte and buxom Sylvia Drake, though she retains her skin tone and hair color.

Page 2: Julie wakes in a start in confusion at her transformation. The next two panels show the rest of the cast waking up in shock at their new bodies, each similarly turned into palette-swapped Sylvias. Margaret de Campos and Gavin Van Der Valk mirror each other in shock in their marital bed and Felicia Bank's eight cats witness her confusion.

Meanwhile, the original Sylvia paints her toenails in her apartment and hears a violent knock at her door. She opens to see all her annoyed friends transformed into copies of her with a simple exclamation of "Oh!"

My only complaint is that there's no chicken flavor, it's just butter, waffle, and syrup. Well, I say "complaint" but if they actually included chicken flavoring I'd probably hate them.

Or in this case rather than fruit it's one million bees yummying down on all that nectar.

It's interesting in that way how once the initial work is done you're left with a sense of anticipation of what might be, but ultimately life has to move on before you see what that is. A future version of you will see the fruits of your labor.

Gardening is a lot of making decisions, executing them, and waiting. Plants go at their own pace. All you can do is give them what they need and observe those small, subtle changes that come in from day to day.

It's been fun throwing random native plants in my yard. Each year the older ones get bigger and more established, while the newly added ones offer the potential for something new.

We did this in Mice Tea! Despite it being an 18+ VN you can skip intimate scenes and censor nudity and just read it for the plot.

It's funny how big of a step that feels like and then ultimately nobody really cares. Like I pushed through my social anxiety to buy the new Rhythm Heaven in a cute top and skirt and the only thing that happened was the cashier complimented my outfit.

It will be very exciting to say we're a studio that's completed TWO games via the Patreon funding model. Even finishing one is such a rarity.

Depends on how familiar you wanna get with the game over music. I played on hard and if you don't put a decent number of points into defense/health basically everything one-shots you, which felt thematically fitting given how brutal the intro is.

It definitely sucks having to schedule my summer bike rides around avoiding heat stroke AND wildfire smoke 😩 The tiniest silver lining is that now when the weather's nice I'm like "I have to maximize my enjoyment of this."

I remember recommending it to a friend's mom as a birthday gift and he had her return it. 😑 When I played it myself a couple years later it turned out to be a completely serviceable platformer.

Whenever people in my kink writing communities ask for advice on writing intimate scenes I'm always like "read romance novels." Your hyperfixation might not be in them but at least you'll learn how to describe two people fucking without it sounding like you're reading a car manual.

I think of tangible emotional concepts as like a gas or vapor, so it'd be a cloud with the consistency of mashed potatoes or something.

I remember going as a student to a GDC where Blackberry was handing out tablets like candy. I managed to snag one by promising I was totally gonna make apps for it. I made exactly zero apps for it.

Sometimes I think about that thing in Yoshi's Story where losing a life causes your Yoshi to get captured and how much the vibe would shift if you weren't playing as a herd of multicolored dino blorbos.

Looking at the refs you posted they look like they've got some volume/floof while your hair is pretty straight so explicitly asking for ways to boost volume would also be good during a future session.

fwiw stylists generally go conservative on bangs since once you get bangs you're stuck with them until your hair grows back out All of my haircuts end with me being like "take off little more... a little more... okay stop."

Main takeaways from GDC - Despite not making day job money, we're doing relatively well - Everyone I talked to was cool with the fact that I make adult VNs - I love San Francisco, and also hate San Francisco.
