I'm less enamored with the Hexhaven cards than I am the rest of the set, but I do quite enjoy it and it's bolstered by the great story.

Hold up So he painted a magic original On the back of an artist proof Turned it in. Got approved. This is the wildest story I’ve heard today

Hello everyone, I’m pleased to present my original artwork for Forest Tentacle Token from Reality Fracture set . The uniqueness lies in the fact that the original art for the card was drawn on artist proof. This miniature depicts a piece of the tentacle of a Verdant Kraken that is beginning to be overgrown with forest plants and flowers.

And we're done. This was a fun project. Definitely learned a lot of good lessons, but hope I made a certain megalomaniacal dragon tyrant proud. #fanart #magicthegathering

Yeah, I mean, wanting to draw parallels between two instances of violent multiversal invasion to specifically highlight Jace's villainy here makes a lot of sense. And you can't change the symbol too substantially or the reference will vanish.

I mean she called it not a homage but... Is it not? Our rather, it appears to be a very direct reference intended to draw a parallel between Jace's actions and the similarly destructive phyrexian multiversal invasion. Is he not breaching the multiverse?

I don't think they will, but it's an idea I kinda enjoy. I don't think it would dismiss her individuality either, as every other party of that card would be Tamming it up.

Photographing native birds help ease my soul in this frankly awful time. (Bird names in ALT text for those who aren't familiar with identifying NZ birds, plus a tiny bit of bonus info amidst the description).

I had a brief moment where I was almost disappointed, as I tried to process it and reckon with my expectations vs reality. But the more I thought about it, the more I was in awe of it. The real Jace understanders were in the room, and now I've been enlightened.

You don't even know how normal I am about the Reality Fracture story atm. Okay yes basically wrote an impromptu essay to process it, but that's just the start of how normal I am. You absolutely killed it @alisontheperson.bsky.social

Working on a WIP. Another much higher effort than my normal skaven, hoping to finish a spearhead and in general start to push my painting into more complicated techniques. (I still paint up stuff like clanrats real quick tho).

A cropped image of a clawlord on gnaw beast. Shows an incomplete paintjob. The Gnaw Beast itself is the only thing with colour on it, the rest of the model is primed black.

The Gnaw Beast is a gross lanky giant rat-dog, with shaggy fur hanging off it in long trails. It is covered in blisters and boils, and the flesh on its face is stretched and torn and in places seems to be almost sloughing off. Raw patches of skin peek out from under the fur.

It is partially painted- wholly basecoated in a rich, dark red. Only the fur is actually painted properly so far though- sketchy grey lines starting dark and then highlighting up to a bright grey, with red still poking through in the shadows. The flesh has yet to be painted.

A squad of ten Mk VI tactical marines in the blue-grey armor of the space wolves, with a red right shoulder and a desert brown left shoulder each. The sergeant is unhelmeted and has dropped his bolter to stance up with an icy looking combat knife

Closeup of the sergeant. His bald-ass face looks pretty gnarly

Another shot of the sgt showing off the knife as well as an absolutely weathered Death Guard helmet in the dirt behind him.
