It's very funny to me that Google added a "Generative AI features" report to Google Search Console, but it only shows impressions, i.e. "how many times links to your site were shown to a user in a generative AI feature on Google Search," not clicks. I wonder why!

Some good news at last: jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...
Key Points

Question: Is long-term intake of caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee associated with risk of dementia and cognitive outcomes?

Findings: In this prospective cohort study of 131 821 individuals from 2 cohorts with up to 43 years of follow-up, 11 033 dementia cases were documented. Higher caffeinated coffee intake was significantly associated with lower risk of dementia. Decaffeinated coffee intake was not significantly associated with dementia risk.

Meaning: Higher caffeinated coffee intake was associated with more favorable cognitive outcomes.

Amazon: "We make Chime, an enterprise chat and video conferencing software for remote collaboration." Also Amazon: "It sucks shit."
Garman said under the three-day policy, "we didn't really accomplish anything, like we didn't get to work together and learn from each other," because people may be in offices on different days.
In particular, Garman said the company's leadership principles, which dictate how Amazon ought to operate, were difficult to follow with just a three-day-per-week requirement.
"You can't internalize them by reading them on the website, you really have to experience them day-to-
day," he said.
One, "disagree and commit" -- which is understood to mean that employees can express grievances but then should dive into a project as outlined by leaders - is not ideal for remote work, Garman said.
"I don't know if you guys have tried to disagree via a Chime call," he said, referring to the company's internal messaging and calling function. "It's very hard."
