Went to check on a friends house who are on vacation. Their house is fine, but there are some that aren’t. We tried 4 east west road going east and they were all blocked by trees and downed power lines. A few pictures

It’s not the nicest thing in the world to endure. It looks like there was a tornado, and while I’m a trained storm spotter, I don’t have the knowledge to confirm it, but this damage looks like it to me. We went to check on a friends house who is on vacation. Their house is fine.

Ever wondered how much a carat weighs? Not as much as you’d think actually. Lesson learned here for me. Bought 25 carats of raw opal. I didn’t get ripped off, as I got what I paid for, just a little disappointed in the size. 1 carat=.007705 grams. lol can still use them but not as originally pland

We did something like that for field day one year, only 25 years ago lol. No drones then, so with a generous donation of three weather balloons from our friendly meteorologist , and helium from a neighbour, we hoiked up 250’ of wire and made some 160m contacts. A drone would be great for that.
