guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026We could make it slower &/or longer format. (Incentivize delay & informative) Incentives for accuracy (Monetize this? May be hard), not virality. (demote this) “Steelman” requirements or incentives. Cooperation incentives. &/or demote exposure or $ for antisocial behaviors. 2/ 100
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Human Nature is thought as “dual-process theory;” 2 broad modes of thinking. 1 (exploited by Social Media) = fast, automatic, emotional, intuitive, reactive. 2 = slow, deliberate, analytical, reflective. guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026I wish Bluesky extremists would investigate why the Nordic model is the best so far. I feel they regurgitate others ad infinitum but really don’t understand. When pressed, personal attacks ensue. Meaning, they’d rather propagandize than actually make it better for the world & the people in it. 000
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026The modern debate isn’t usually “markets v no markets” (as I see on Bluesky) but “Which sectors benefit most from competition & which require Public/nonprofit/cooperative?” (& to what extent) Like healthcare, education, infrastructure, environment, natural monopolies, etc. 6/ 100
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Nordic Economically Capitalist (but sees the failures & addresses) Politically Liberal Democracy (the population is in charge, not the state. Checks & balances) Socially Universal welfare/Social Democratic model (where Capitalism fails) 5/ 100
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Extreme models focus on either (Capitalism) freedom & capability but not well-being or (Communism/DotP) well-being despite lack of freedom & muted capability. It is a problem of ignoring the need for all 3 components. Nordic model is the best compromise. 4/ 100
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Best models max freedom, capability & well-being. Capitalist base + Socialized where markets fail. Nordic model: strong civil liberties, rule of law, competition, economic freedom, Public healthcare, Public education, low poverty, high mobility, high life expectancy, low corruption, high trust. 3/ 100
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Yes, we have models that hold the tension. The best systems institutionalize, but don’t eliminate it. Liberal democracies with mixed economies (especially Nordic) use markets with strong rights & welfare. Flaws are bounded, dispersed & reversible through elections & courts. 2/ 100
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 24/05/2026First thing I’d say, we need actual dialogue. Not blindly favoring or demeaning the extremes. (As is done on all social media) 1/ 200
guest2u.bsky.social @guest2u.bsky.social · 23/05/2026The tragedy is exposed: A society claiming peace chooses violence to preserve property. A society claiming liberation becomes what it fights. The tension everyone circles around & nobody escapes. Pure Capitalism & pure Communism are flawed. Those defending either, become defensive not clearer. 100
