As someone who has been in fights and has also treated fighters with horrific injuries, I know full well that fighting, even in the best controlled conditions, is extremely dangerous. And yet, some days I just want someone to punch me in the face.

Man, Castlevania was so fucking cool. It feels like a miracle in hindsight.

Resident Evil was good. First time I can recall wishing there was more sequel baiting though

I think I would have finished Control if the video log segments were just written instead of voice overs playing on top of the same video clip ad nauseum. It's a weird complaint, I know, but the something about how the story was presented did not work for me.

Looks like no Fire Emblem for me this weekend. My order hasn't even shipped yet. Thanks, gamestop 😞

C+ Nintendo Direct. Good stuff, but mediocre presentation, and no show stopping surprises unfortunately. I guess OoT is their big holiday game after all?

Halfway through my first read of Hajime No Ippo and I find it criminal that there is no official English translation or any prospects for a 4th anime season in the foreseeable future

Finished The Dutch House and it's the second major award winning book I've read this year that had great prose without purpose. What a hollow and toothless collection of pretty words.

Finally watched Sinners and damn, I was missing out. Terrific film indeed. (Spoilers ahead) I remembed there was some discourse around who ends up inviting the vampires in, went back to check, and and was amused over how much criticism there was directed at them

#spider-man was good! Tries to be as much of a movie about a man being a man-spider hybrid thing as it can be. Action was great. Story was... a little messy, but Peter's journey is compelling stuff
