Pig had never seen a cat dead.

It only hit him when seeing the bodies of the fallen prepared to vigil. He'd emerged after the Great Wave after any dead were taken care of. Fish, crabs, rats, those he could handle, but a fellow cat? It took much of his energy to keep his stomach from upending itself.

And poor Wave Dapples. She should have been with her kits. She should have been in the nursery with the queens until the pair were old enough. When her time came in years to come, it should have been near her namesake. She should be lay there asleep, not dead.

Through the whole process, Pig had been uncharacteristically silent. He was silent again when he joined Squid Bait and Goldfish to dig. That was something he could do for her now, at least.

Gaia - Shadows Cast At Sunset (Shadow). A close 'friend' of Bird, despite being opposites in many ways. The two met when Shadow lost her memories, except for a voice in her head. The voice was revealed to be an ancient cat, Running Stream, and Shadow the reincarnation of his mate Grove Shadow.

Y'shtola - Frostshade. She trained as a healer for a time, but found her true calling as a warrior. She can still be found frequently assisting Brightears and Shimmersky in their den. A battle took her sight, yet this seemed to only strengthen her resolve.

Thancred - Whitewave, a senior warrior. He mentored both Echostar and Bird, a young cat from a distant tribe. His stealth skills are unmatched, even after a fight that almost cost the sight in one eye.
