The jump in quality from Ace Combat 6 to Ace Combat 7 is kind of insane. Everything feels better, especially since I find the cutscenes and dialogue compelling. Massive relief, was kind of worried the modern series wasn't going to be to my tastes after all after finishing 6.

Sat with my thoughts, not so enthusiastic about the Direct. Metroid Ravenous was the only thing that truly appealed to me. I'll keep an eye on the 3D Kirby game, but the last one was well received but frankly bored me. So I dunno. I just feel like... there wasn't a lot?

The graphics are the big talking point in the OOT remake right now, and I generally can't stop myself from engaging in it. But this shit right here is what's actually going to drive me nuts. One button for items and another to pause/open this fucking horizontal bar sucks so much.

I actually really like how the NPCs look? They're stylized and modeled like their originals. Link looks like he's from an entirely different game, where they never stopped adding needless detail. And he just feels... kinda hollow?

Been distracted by a bunch of things, so progress through Syphon Filter has been slow. Also, because a bunch of these levels sorta suck lol. Forced stealth segments are so bad, especially when the game REALLY doesn't enable satisfying stealth. Might be a drop, but kinda curious where this goes?

Settled on playing Syphon Filter next, popped the disc in on lunch to make sure it was still working. Kinda get the feeling I forgot to check when I picked this up? Disc looks pretty rough, more so than I'd usually accept. Got it to boot, but might have to look around for a replacement.
