It’s his default response to any perceived slight, have lawyers look for redress, $$ redress. Doesn’t mean the lawyers will make anything stick.

exists for detailed news & they can switch if they’re interested. News everywhere, on every channel, is really unecessary. I listen often/a lot to BBC radio but rarely live, Sounds is more typical, it’s stupid to hear 5 min bulletins of old news in programmes. My hill!

In the olden days, tuning a radio was a pain, a hit or miss process, does one stay on MW, switch to FM, whereas now everything’s a touch away (I think my first touch button PLL FM radio without any tining display at all was 1980). Just inform the listener that there’s new news on the channel that

I would have suggested that rationalising the way BBC radio ‘does’ news might be a recipe for saving money. The bulletins on every channel, including those on DAB & streaming (eg R6 Music) are somewhat redundant in this age of touch button re-tuning.

Testing, qualifying competency. That’d be a good start. In the way trades & professions evaluate human competence. This tacit assumption of erudition for present forms of AI is inane.

&, similarly, paddle boarding off a beach where an offshore wind is blowing (& maybe, also a falling tide). Nearly every episode of BBC’s Saving Lives at Sea - if only the producers would be more overt about this idiocy (klaxons, on screen warning msg, loud & forthright danger alert by narrator).

Please, please - someone arrange for James Earl Jones, Jack Nicholson, Brian Blessed, or Morgan Freeman to voice the president’s part - unedited - in the recent Time Magazine interview.

Good to see another voice calling out the Christian ethno-nationalism but, really, it’s been a thing for years. The recent networks building out, ‘planting’, ‘churches’ are extremely dubious in their choice of leadership.

Ready made script for SNL or any pair of comedians. Actually, not even comedians: Sir Ian McKellen, Brian Blessed, Kevin McAleer (Uncle Colm/Derry Girls), or Sir Anthony Hopkins reading the Trump part could be hilarious.

Xi Jinping visited the US in 2017, travelling on his 747-8i while Trump perceived himself to be trundling around on 35+ yo converted 747-200Bs. Like a baby, he wanted same as Xi (& Boeing isn’t to deliver the VC-25B til 2028).

I was in Seattle in either ‘88 or ‘89 during Seafair. I went downtown & rented a 500mm Nikkor standard (not reflector) lens, a total monster, to use with my Nikon FE. Shot two rolls of Koda or Fuji-chrome. Got a few good shots out of 72 frames, 😂

Next, I swipe down for the map/weather radar view - it’s gone, it’s not there?!?? Now, the map/weather radar is my most used feature - what’s the weather doing 30-40-50 miles away in the direction it’s approaching. That’s my weather forecast - am I likely to get wet while walking the dog(s).

Recently, I checked out the audio book version of Karen Hao’s ‘Empire of AI’ voiced by the author. Or possibly an AI facsimile of the author. More than a few words were pronounced very unusually, tech vocabulary words that would have been familiar to the author.

Trump’s invitation to Xi was motivated by the Orange Oaf’s need to show he now has a 747-8i, his new S-92 helicopters, & construction of his banqueting hall is well underway. It is Trump’s foreign vists that are the national hazard, exposing him to objets he then attempts to recreate in the US.

I think it's absolutely mad that today there's a *national news story* about 400 oil platform workers losing their jobs, and the government being blamed. 25% of the UK TV industry lost their jobs in the last 4 years and we never hear a peep about it! Some jobs are 'real jobs' I guess.

Jon shared a diagram with an ‘oval’ sketched overlay based on a collection of positions. Given that Apple’s ‘Offine’ Finder tech is crowdsourced, the centre of that oval is likely very close to the position of the item.

Does their behaviour follow the Bannon advice, “to flood the zone with shit”? To continually stretch the boundaries with more extreme behaviours. The typical English sensibility may not tolerate that in the same way as an American.
