Another step in the shack rebuild today. The RS232 to USB lead arrived today, so I've got computer control back on my rotator controller. Just a small step, but so useful.

My main reason for changing was that the old PC was getting rather past it, and I really didn't fancy having to go through the hassle of setting up the microHam MKII all over again. In terms of the 7760, I'm still trying to find my way round it

That was a major worry for me too, as things were working fine, but getting used to the new rig was up there with getting my head round the new and very quick PC and Win11, instead of the old one with Win10

I can sit for hours playing radio, but if a YT video goes over 10 mins. I get restless and want to do something. The only one I did watch all the way through was the eclipse one from G4BAO, but only because I wanted to take part in the experiment

Somehow, I think I'll pass today. Nice new fast PC too, and that's making a huge difference. The old one was struggling, so in the process of sorting that, I decided it was time for a new radio as well. Going from Win10Pro to Win11Pro, and sorting the IC7760 was a learning curve 😉

Indeed. I do not operate QRP, but a friend here does, and he uses 5W or less to wire antennas. For me, that is QRP. So yes, it should be down to ERP
