#AT40 Thanks everybody! See you next Thursday/Saturday.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 22h

#AT40 Loved “Fool”. Then and still. Period.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 22h

#AT40 Loved Right down the Line . Almost as good as Bakker Street(and that’s saying something!) Although at first I thought the lyrics were “Hoot Mon” rather than “Woman”.

Thank you for your support!

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 22h

Never saw the movie; was it good?

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

It’s a travesty.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

Sigh. First MacArthur Park, then this. I’m going to lunch.

Nothing is a notch above the original!!!!!! #AT40

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

Not enough. They could have used the time to play all 7 minutes 20 seconds of the classic Richard Harris original. #AT40

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

#AT40 Oh no!!!! Richard Harris’ original the best. I put up with the Donna Somers cover out of respect for the greatness of the Jimmy Webb composition.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

#AT40 Maybe by this point I was coming to terms with my dislike of disco. I liked “Nightlife”.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

Me neither.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

Philistine indeed! But Repentance is a good first step back.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

Except for “Miss You”, I agree.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

#AT40 Never a big H&O fan. But I did like Its A Laugh. Anybody think of other “Laugh” songs? I’ll start: “Laugh Laugh”.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 23h

A year later This Night Won’t Last Forever was a favorite.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

#AT40 it don’t matter to me is one of today’s lead-in songs. My favorite Bread. A good omen.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Memories. I was sitting in my lucky chair. Like it was just yesterday.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I liked Sunshine of Your Love (one of the “heaviest” and non-bland song I liked at the time) and White Room. Otherwise, absolutely agree with you.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Definitely an excused absence! Happy birthday!

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

#AT40 A very meh Countdown, but the company was great! Thanks everyone and see you Saturday!

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Very Reasonable request. But those Random Pickers I guess have a method; like the intro says, “Don’t ask!”

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

#AT40 i liked Waterloo. It was catchy and easy to dance to. Who knew that was only the beginning?!

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Bring back Dale and Grace. Or even Paul and Paula (Hey Paula). Those were the days.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I used to think it was the Stylistics singing.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Ok; we can agree to disagree.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

#AT40 while I’m complaining anyway, I never understood the attraction of I Shot the Sheriff.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Except for all time favorite Bad Time, I could take them or leave them.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I liked her, but Yes; always sounded nasal-ly to me.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

“Senator” Bobby was my favorite, too.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

So sorry. Liked your bathroom on the right reference; amazing how so many of us mis-heard that lyric.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Didn’t know that. Thanks!

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Haha! Good one!

#AT40 I really liked the Righteous Brothers (Soul and Inspiration my favorite), and was happy to hear them again in 1974.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

#AT40 reMain Ingredient—Everybody Plays the Fool was good song. This one, not so much.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

#AT40 One more thing:Barry M as the outro! Great!

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Ain’t no justice. At least It Don’t Matter to Me (my favorite) hit #1 in England.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

#AT40 Dickey Lee’s 1962 patches was an even bigger tear jerker for me. But both are worth a good cry.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

#AT40 my favorite Neil Diamond. Then and still.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

#AT40 Now TO and Dawn’s best. What a good Countdown!

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

#AT40 Ah! Anne Murray’s first and to me her best.

gturtle @gturtle.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

It’s not Duke of Earl , but it was great to hear him again.
