What’s the green ducting? We are about to install our first Zehnder, we’ve used pretty much everything else on the market at this point. Also had a hell of a time getting the roommate unit since small planet went out

this is a great reframing of a simple problem that can drastically improve the community. We can be better in the ways that brings us all out.

hank, great to see you back. according to folks, you shouldn’t use LLMs because your net worth is $12 million. maybe if it was $10 million or less this wouldn’t have been an issue. Great to see a clear policy and I hope more folks adopt this. #pushback

You are right, Hank did admit that, but my comment was about before he admitted it Looking back I see my comment may have been interpreted as me distilling your thread down, that was not my intent I don't have Hank's net worth yet, so maybe I'm in the clear to have AI proof before I post next time

I'm building a product and I'm at the point where it's the last huge unknown piece I'm about to test for the first time. It'll need a bunch of rework but... There is an end in sight to this first version. That will be a releasable no.1 milestone.

Burden of proof goes to the commenter that claimed it as I want to understand specifics they are talking about. I searched, I found bans on inverters but nothing specifically about batteries. I wouldn't ask it if I didn't want additional clarity.

Replace your gas stoves with electric, preferably induction. The Trump regime canceled an $18 million EPA grant to study replacing gas stoves in 1,200 homes of asthma sufferers. Researchers published results from 85 homes, showing significant asthma relief and health impacts of gas stoves.

The EPA halted a study on gas stoves and asthma. But even partial results were striking.
Research that used a federal grant to pay for asthma patients to have their gas stoves replaced showed a dramatic fall in asthma attacks. The program was cut short after President Donald Trump took of...

Do you all just take the material hit or is it different because it is prefab you can get sign off from the manufactures due to more controlled conditions?

What's the story behind the flat roofs? From a risk perspective we switched to a minimum 3/12 pitch for durability/warranty and to keep with specific materials (metal+proclima). My addition is a .5/12 pitch but that isn't under warranty with those materials.

Terrible, there is only one bike in this mockup. There should be at least 1 motley crew of bicyclists in these types of renders followed by several stray cats. Building seems legit tho.

Can you point me to where this standard is used/defined? I’d like to see more examples of how it is used. Total install cost/daily output does not seem like a good metric without putting in some sort of time component to quantify actual cost per gallon over it’s expected lifetime.

You’d only run this for 1 day? I’d run it for at least 2 days. $1.09/gal after 1 year and $0.54/gal after 2.

That’s dumb, one pedal driving is the closest thing to manual transmission I’ve found. Last ICE I rented I kept forgetting I needed to turn the car off. I went into a store for 15min came back and realized the car was running the whole time 😭

I don’t have a horse in the race but the amount of joy-hating sounds more like folks justifying their own existence. I don’t know if sugar or grafting caused or contributed to his circumstances. I would love to hear a more nuanced discussion about it.

Gotta get those leed points. Don’t get me wrong, bike parking is good, but most of these are to avoid improving building practices that actually reduce energy and fewer changes yet made for human health.

Oh, I don't get a bsky third party face detection thing in AZ. Is that just for accessing bluesky or just age appropriate content?
000 0
Geraldist @gthirty3.bsky.social · 22/06/2026
Not sure I follow. AZ requires age verification and porn sites do have it, at least the big ones. Insta wouldn’t have it because they don’t allow nudes. Tumblr, I don’t use/know.

there Is a question as to if I will actually follow through, i don’t have much time and spending my time setting up a potentially unusable solution or one that requires ongoing maintenance is always at the root of these types of decisions.

Geraldist @gthirty3.bsky.social · 09/06/2026
I enjoy using AI for coding but not a fan of ongoing costs, but the more nefarious bits are that they can see everything I’m doing. Not only that but I don’t control or have any understanding of my energy usage or where my power demands come from.

Apple presenting a way to run your own LLM at scale is quite impressive. LLMs I think will eventually migrate towards a solar model, one where each person or small group of people share an LLM cluster. m.youtube.com/watch?v=wykP...

it has a limit as to how air tight it can go, and still need to manually seal larger holes still. To me proper control layer execution avoids AeroBarrier all together which I don’t find to be too difficult. i have few use cases for this product.

Efficiency trap. The goal should never be efficiency alone, but a side-effect of a larger system objective. This is why the Prius failed And I think set the wrong mindset for innovation and progress.
