GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Nice to be only a couple of hundreds metres away when this Eye-browed Thrush was trapped at Spurn this morning. Second Yorkshire record after one in April 1981 1340
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 03/06/2026@ashley-howe1990.bsky.social Hi Ashley myself and Tim Isherwood are revamping the Yorkshire Birding/lister league and wondered if you be willing to let us use one of your Needletail pics as the main header on the blog and the pic for social media, cheers Garry. 110
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 06/05/2026There’s an incredible 18 Wood Sand at Swinemoor, Beverley today. I’m guessing this must be one of the highest counts in Yorkshire but I don’t have all the old Yorkshire bird reports to check. I’d be very interested if anyone has any details of high counts for Yorkshire. #UKbirding 050
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 30/10/2025This Shore Lark was showing exceptionally well on the cliff top at Skipsea yesterday, a chance to finally put the new Sony 400-800 through its paces, certainly seems sharp. 030
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 20/10/2025My best efforts of the Spurn Black-faced Bunting. A long wait after the injustice of 25 years ago. #RareBirdsUK 2500

GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 20/01/2025Cracked, presume the rise in average temperature means the powers that be will now be happy that winter isn't the problem it was in 99/2000 for these things #RareBirdsUK #UKBirding 1250
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 18/12/2024My PUC has been set up for almost a week and has had some pretty unlikely species recorded. Considering It’s in East Yorkshire by far the wildest claim has to be Crested Tit. I’m tempted to start a new PUC only garden list! #BWPUC 3111
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 23/11/2024I’ve never seen as many Dragonflies as in Oman, thousands of Globe Skimmers almost everywhere we went but I’d appreciate ID input on the others if anyone has a clue 160
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Yemen Serin in Oman recently, fortunately a pair of fantastic Bonelli’s Eagles were constantly on view to distract me! 060
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Snow stopped play at Hornsea this morning when vis was reduced to pretty much zero! 3 Grey Phal, 4 (of 7) Little Auk, 3 Great Northern Diver, Long tailed Duck and Velvet Scoter amongst decent numbers of duck moving. Would have been more but a horrible shimmer was challenging #UKbirding 1120
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 01/10/2024With the strong SE winds yesterday I decided to see if any seabirds had been blown up to the Humber Bridge, first bird I saw was this Long tailed Skua. I hadn’t even got my scope out of the car so bins views and had to take pics and ID from those in the evening. #UKBirding #RareBirdsUK 3220
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 30/09/2024Fantastic birding on the Yorks coast this weekend. My Photography skills were no match for the Pale legged Leaf Warbler, fortunately the Arctic Warbler and Pallid Harrier were more cooperative. Nice solitary river watch this morning the perfect antidote to the weekends crowds #UKBirding #RareBirdsUK 1200
GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 05/09/2024Great seawatch off Hornsea this morning- Leach’s, 2 Sabs, 1 Long tail (+1 before I arrived), 2 Poms, 5 Sooty, c50 Manx, G N Diver and Black Tern. #UKbirding 070

GT1366 @gt1366.bsky.social · 26/08/2024My first post on here so let’s see how the photo compression is compared to that other place. Adult Semipalmated Sandpiper on Marazion beach tonight my second in the last week here in Cornwall with a Juvenile nearby on the Hayle estuary. 3210
