Congratulations to Ishita Raghuvanshi, winner of the BRAINiArt Award at the IBB Art Gallery & Showcase. "Slice of Life" reimagines MRI scans as a colorful exploration of memory, identity, and everyday life, demonstrating the powerful intersection of neuroscience and art.
Artwork titled Slice of Life displayed on an easel. The piece consists of nine small paintings arranged in a 3-by-3 grid within a wooden frame. Each panel depicts a different cross-sectional view of a human brain inspired by MRI scans. The top row is painted in shades of blue, the middle row in green, and the bottom row in orange and yellow, creating a progression of color across the work. The brain images vary in orientation and anatomical detail, highlighting different slices of the same brain. A small placard with the artwork title and description is positioned beside the display. The artwork was awarded the BRAINiArt Award at the 2026 IBB Art Gallery & Showcase.
