Man, migraines will really bring the evil out of ya, huh?

Panel 1: The child from the previous panel is settled back down onto the ground on her feet by Rebecca, squeeing excitedly all the while.
Panel 2: The mother picks the child up in her arms, looking gleefully at Rebecca. "Haha! Thank you so much! It's wonderful seeing people like you giving time to the kids!" She exclaims. "It's really no problem, ma'am." Rebecca responds. "You have a wonderful day now!" The mother replies, with the child waving. "Buh-bye, miss!"

Panels 3-6: Rebecca watches them leave, the *ding* of the door bell being the signifier of their exit. She slowly turns towards the viewer, clutching her head as her expression changes from one of contentness to irritation. She cups her head in her hands, groaning before ultimately falling back into her chair, clutching her head in a pained expression. "GAH! MY HEAD!" She exclaims.

Panel 1: Rebecca stares down, one eye wide and the other squinted, red veins visibily popping out of her forehead and temple as she clutches her head. "Ah, ah..." She moans in pain. "Have I already hit my limit for today?" She thinks to herself. An off-screen voice asks "Yo, is she okay??"

Panel 2: Still looking down, now from a different angle. Her hands are down by her side, she looks angrier. "The flight, and lifting a child? That's all it took?!" She thinks to herself. "I don't understand! I've been doing endurance tests, and otherwise taking it easy!" She ponders.

Panel 3: In her head, she stares down her third eye, and it stares her down. "WHat is my limit?!" She scolds. "WHAT IS IT?!"

Panel 4: One of the patrons of the laundromat approaches her, obviously concerned. "Hey, do I need to call 9-1-1?" He asks.

Panel 5: She lashes out, her eyes cloaked in purple energy as her hair flares out like a cobra's hood. "I'M FINE!" She screams.

Panel 6: Her head dips back down again, her hair completely hiding her pained visage. "I'm...ugh...I'll be fine. It's just migraines." She sluggishly says.

Panel 7: A zoom-in of her eye, slightly bloodshot, as it peers up at the sound of the TV. "Alright, welcome back to X news."

Panel 8: Rebecca and the patron look up at the TV, as it comes into focus in the foreground. "Today, we continue our debate on what should be done about mutants, with our panel..." The TV trails off.

Panel 9: A panel of conservative-looking people, with Gary Niemann (Senator), Jerry Consman (Senator), and Susan Grey (reporter) appearing on a panel, with Jerry in the middle of a rant. "Look, all I'm saying, right?" He starts. "After the invasions are over, after the gov't seals whatever holethese things are spilling through...what *are* we going to do about these guys?" He asks.

Panels 1-3: More shots of Jerry Consman, gesturing and gesticulating on the TV screen while he rants. "These thi- these *people*," he quickly corrects himself "They're more advanced than the average person. I mean, let's look at the recent situation in Metropolis City, right? Someone's shooting things from the mind, someone's tossing creatures around that weigh at least a ton, it's...it's a lot! And we have these people walking among us, and we're relying on their word that they're not going to turn against us when this is over!"

Panel 4: A shot of the other patrons looking up at the TV screen, with Rebecca in the forefront, looking stern and stoic. The discussion continues. "Your concerns are warranted, Mr. Consman, but what do you suggest could be done about this?" Susan Grey asks off-screen. "Well, I'm working with my fellow constituents to figure out some ways we can keep these people in line." Mr. Consman continues.

Panels 5: Rebecca looks worried as he continues to talk. "We were thinking maybe, mandatory military service? Teach them some discipline, and pride for their country." He starts.

Panel 6: Her worry is giving way to anger as he continues. "Or maybe have some kind of tracker so we know where they're at, at all times."

Panel 7: "Perhaps even a registry is required." He says. Her anger has reached all out rage, and her third eye is spazzing as the pupils begin to multiply, and shake. Her eyes are covered in energy once more.

Panel 1: "BULLSHIT!" Rebecca unleashes her rage on the TV screen, shooting a blast of energy from her third eye at the screen, causing glass to shatter over the laundromat. The other patrons avert their gaze.

Panels 2-4: Rebecca looks at the remains of the TV, still reeling from her crash-out. She looks back at the other patrons, rightfully horrified of her, and begins to understand what just happened. Without another word, she rushes from the laundromat, covering her face in shame.

Panels 5-6: The du-rag patron looks at her, an arm slightly outstretched as if to stop her. As he looks worried, a *DING* goes off in the background; Rebecca's laundry just finished washing.

Mundane tasks and a wholesome tale - what more could ya want?

Panel 1: Francais in the foreground counts out a number of pills in his hand. In the background, Arianna and Karne (still lying on the ground) stare at the door where Rebecca left.

Panel 2: Francais consumes the pills he counted. Arianna looks to Karne. "Anyone wanna go out shooting?" She asks. "Clean me up first." Karne says.

Panel 3: Rebecca is shown flying through the sky, holding a washing basket. "Almost there." She thinks to herself.

Panel 4: She is shown landing. "Alright! Here we are, city limits." She says. "I can walk the rest of the way there, to conserve my energy." She states.

Panels 5-7: She walks past a man in green clothing, who is obviously checking her out. As she walks past and walks away, the man is shown wrapped in the violet energy.

Panel 8: She walks past the man, who is now shown being flipped onto his back. "AH!" He screams. She walks away with a smug look on her face.

Panel 9: She walks towards an establishment called "Larry's Laundromat."

Panel 1: The inside of the laundromat is shown, with people inside tending to their clothings. Rebecca is seen approaching one of the machines.

Panels 2-5: Rebecca finishes putting her things inside the machine, reaching inside of her bra for a dollar. She inserts it into the machine, muttering to herself "Aha! Okay, dollar inserted..."

Panel 6: She is shown sitting next to the machines, thinking to herself "And now, we wait..."

Panels 1-5: Rebecca is shown passing time by waiting, occasionally reading a magazine. The wait proves to be too much however, as she eventually dozes off into sleep, only waking up by the sound of a voice saying "Hey, I remember you!"

Panel 6: The child from the first comic is in front of her, looking up at her as she speaks "You were fighting the bad guys a few days ago!"

Panel 7: "Yes, that was me, and my team." She says, the little girl and her mother now in view. The mother speaks. "We were just walkign by, and she wanted to say 'hi' so badly!" She exclaims.

Panels 8-11: The little girl exclaims excitedly. "Yeah, I remember them!" SHe says, as her face and vocal inflection reflects the various members of the team. For Francais, her look becomes more feral, and she starts frothing at the mouth. "THe one that was like, grrr, grrr!" She states, before her expression becomes more manic, and she makes finger guns. "Or the one that was like, bang bang! Bang!" Then her face becomes more stoic, and her tone monotone. "OR the one that looked like this." She says.

Panel 1: Rebecca holds a hand up to her lips, hiding a smirk. "Hmhmhm. Yep, that's them alright."

Panel 2: The little girl rubs her hands together, looking up at Rebecca pleadingly. "Do you think you could use your mind powers to...make me fly???" She asks.

Panel 3: Rebecca looks off to the side, contemplative. "Ah, well...I really shouldn't, but...."

Panel 4: The panel pans back over to the little girl, now covered in telekinetic energy. "I find it hard to resist when you ask so nicely." She says.

Panel 5: The girl is show being lifted up, making various noises of glee and excitement as she is flown around the open air of the laundromat.

Panel 6: Rebecca and the little girl's mother are shown, while the little girl screams off-screen. "THIS IS AWESOME!" She screams. Rebecca looks joyous - the girl's mother is covering her mouth, in awe and a little worried.

Almost forgot to post it! xP "All in all...a typical morning for the team."

Panel 1: Rebecca is shown laying in a hammock, top-down. She is wearing a beige long-sleeve, a pair of jeans, and some socks as her long hair acts as a blanket of sorts. She ponders to herself.
"It's been a few days since the last invasion. Adjusting has been...a bit difficult, to say the least. I fought alongside them (them: referring to Francais, Arianna and Karne specifically) before. A few times in fact. But sharing a living space with them now? I never thought of it. Someone like me, living with the stoic golem who can hardly manage a conversation, the raving gun fanatic who just 'happens' to have arachnid features, and the madman who's ready to tear both the world, and himself apart at the first chance he'll get."

"Oh well, I'll manage. As I always do. It's not so bad here. We have something of a system now. An icebox keeps our food cool. We do grocery runs every few days. Plans are being made to arrange electricity and plumbing here. Very expensive, I'm sure. We're very far out from the city, after all. Not to mention the tree-house situation, which I've yelled at Arianna many times for. I suppose...it is charming. In a way. It projects childlike wonder, innocence - something I haven't felt in a long time."

Panels 2 & 3: A sideways shot of the hammock, first empty, then Rebecca is shown emerging from it with a "done-with-it-all" look. "Fuck, it's laundry day." She mutters.

Panel 1: Rebecca emerges from the hammock, stretching and showing off her plump figure. Sizzling is heard and a scent is seen wafting off-panel. "Wait, what's that smell?"

Panel 2: Rebecca looks over to Arianna and Karne. Karne is lying down while he lets Arianna cook eggs on his metallic surface. She is wearing an apron that reads 'KISS THE SPIDER'. "Oh, morning princess!" She says, exciting. "Karne here was kind enough to donate his body as a temporary grill!" She exclaims. "Just make sure you wipe me down thoroughly." Karne sternly warns.

Panel 3: Rebecca sits down opposite of Francais, who is enjoying a nice bowl of cereal. "Morning, Francais." She replies. "Mmm." Francais mutters in return.

Panel 4: "Did you take your medication yet?" Rebecca says, turning her body to face Francais as she places a hand on the table. Her expression is one of concern.

Panel 5: Francais looks up, spoon still in mouth and milk dripping as he looks like a deer lost in headlights.

Panel 1: Rebecca has both hands up in a pleading motion. "Francais, you know you need to take it [the medicine] daily." She says. Francais stares down at the table, dejected. "I-I can't. It makes me feel like SHIT." He says. "I get so nauseous, I can barely move or eat. Not to mention my kidneys pretty much stop working. All of that just to quiet my mind. *Sometimes.*" He admits.

Panel 2: Rebecca reaches out to Francais. Her third eye slowly begins to open. "It's a lot more than that, Francais." She says. "If you don't think it's working, let me help. I want to do what I can." She explains.

Panel 3: Her hand that is reaching towards Francais is suddenly seized by Francais.

Panel 4: It appears that Francais yanks her forward as he stares her in the eyes, much angrier now. His left eye is tinted red as he exclaims. "Keep your BULLSHIT MIND MAGIC AWAY FROM ME!"

Panel 5: A forward-facing view of Francais now, still gripping Rebecca's wrist as he continues. "I already have ENOUGH people fucking with my head, I don't need ANOTHER person poking around in there!" He shouts.

Panel 6: Rebecca looks back at him, frustrated and pained as she states. "Let me go, Francais!"

Panel 7: Off-screen, Arianna's hand appears, clutching a pistol as it is pointed to Francais' temple.

Panel 8: Arianna, now visible, says plainly. "It's too early for this, Francais. Let her go, and take the damn medicine." She states, like a routine at this point.

Panels 1-3: Francais looks to Arianna, gun still pointed at his temple. He looks back to Rebecca, the red tint in his left eye now gone as he suddenly looks remorseful at what he's done. He sighs, letting her hand go.

Panel 4: He places both elbows on the table, and rests his head in his hands as he mutters. "I'm sorry." Arianna's hand comes from off-panel to hand him his medication.

Panel 5: Rebecca, looking rather unbothered by it all, walks away from the table, leaving Francais alone. "I'll be taking my clothes to the laundry. Please don't tear the place down while I'm gone. Or do, maybe we can get a condo instead of a treehouse." She mutters.

Panel 6: Arianna turns to her, obviously hurt as she says this. "You're still so torn up about it. It's been days!" She exclaims. Rebecca is seen telekinetically grabbing her shoes as she advances towards a basket of laundry.

Panel 7: "Yes, I am still pissed that I don't have the luxury of a short walk or a drive to the laundromat." She says, looking irritated as she gathers the basket of clothes, at the same time telekinetically putting her shoes on her feet.

Panel 8: "Or the fact I need to head to a laundromat at all because we don't have a washer here!" She finishes retorting, picking the basket up.

Panel 9: She opens the door, and prepares to leave. "I'll be back. Stay safe." She says.

Lock in, Mahlon! A funny scenario I thought of. Perhaps from one of their earliest adventures, when they weren't taking it so seriously xP

Panel one: Mahlon's zoomed in face is present in the background of a patch of grass as his eyes are focused on a ladybug on a blade of grass in front of him.

Panel 2: The shot zooms out to reveal Diamond and Jade doing battle with some zombies around them in a forest clearing. Diamond chops off a zombie's head with her flaming Tachi as she yells "Come on, Mahlon! Lock in!" Jade, meanwhile, holds a cross out to a zombie in front of her, and disintegrates them with a bright cone of light.

Me and my friends ran every Steinhardt's Guide to the Eldritch Hunt module from Jan to June, Levels 3 to 20, and we had a great time! I wanted to commemorate it with a drawing of each of my characters, and how they perished >:3 #DnD5e
