I felt much the same but gave the network test a try and came away really impressed. There’s a lot going on and I didn’t understand most of it, but they seem to be trying something new and potentially interesting. It’s not just Bloodborne battle royale.

Tried the Duskbloods network test. It’s interesting, much more than Nightreign. I didn’t get a feel for how it works and the onboarding introducing a dozen different currencies, tokens, sigils, seals, covenants and pacts in the space of 15 minutes did not help. But it seems like it could be good.

@1st_C_Lord No idea how the Revelation job system will pan out - I suspect it’s a case of adding mechanics for the sake of it as the Rebirth battle system is already fully featured and very good - but the best FF games (5, 11, 12, 14, Tactics) are the ones that lean heavily into jobs.

Yeah I get that my particular situation is probably an outlier. I like to spend a bit of time learning a game and then start a new character once I’ve got a clue what’s going on. Warframe just won’t let me do that and it’s frustrating. It’s not the end of the world.

I’m not opposed, it just seems like unnecessary hassle. I’d have to find a new email address to register for the account and then tie the new account to my PSN account. It’d be really nice instead to just click the “create new character” button that most other games have.

That’s the thing. I don’t want to replay quests. I want to create a completely new character and start fresh. In pretty much any other game this is fine, but for whatever reason Warframe really doesn’t want to let me do it.

I think I might get away with it. Turns out I’d stopped just before the end of a chapter (just arrived at the Golden Saucer) so it was a natural breakpoint anyway. I just need to get my head around the battle system again and I’ll be ok. Wish there was a way to set up an endless practice session.

Yeah, it really doesn’t do a good job of explaining how it expects you to play. You just have to try stuff until you find an approach that doesn’t get you killed. Which works but it doesn’t feel great

The only Lays fact I know is that in some of their crisps they used to use olestra as an ingredient, which could make oil leak out of your bum. Turned out this wasn’t popular so they stopped using it.

Street Fighter 6 has a ‘modern’ control option that turns all almost all special move inputs into a single direction + button and simplifies a bunch of other stuff. It also has a long single player campaign with a really dumb story that does a decent-ish job of teaching you how to play SF6
