De eerste brug na Pieterburen, een hoge houten brug over een sloot. Achter de sloot een groot bloemenveld. De lucht is wat grauw.

Het mooie bakstenen kerkje van Eennum, het eerste dorp na Pieterburen. De kerk is gelegen op een wierd.

Zocht op Winsum na onze doortocht. Aan een vaart zijn bakstenen gebouwtjes met rode dakpannen gebouwd. Rechts een schelpenpad.

Na Winsum stond de etappe voornamelijk in het teken van betonnen fietspaden door akkers en velden, met in de verte zicht op de volgende boerderij.

Went to see the center point of the Netherlands RD projection in Amersfoort today. Much busier than I expected. #geodesy #mapping #projections

Circular grey marker with a glass sheet. Below the glass is an image of the Netherlands. A red laser beam shines through the glass landing presumably on Amersfoort in the image of the Netherlands. Surrounding the Circular marker is a brown stained wood.

The text "nulpunt Rijksdriehoekmeting Kadaster". In English this means the null or 0 point of the Dutch state triangular survey, by Kadaster, which coordinates and regulates many mapping aspects of the Netherlands.

Yesterday I went out to the Buitenschot, earthworks designed to dampen sound waves from planes at Schiphol. Tom Scott made a video about it a few years ago youtu.be/7dlLmeage2U

Projected 360 photo of the environment, the earthworks are difficult to capture with what I had for cameras. The earthworks are meter+ high triangular mounds with wood plank end caps to keep the sides together. A gray asphalt path rides through the earthworks. The grass is a recovering from drought green.
