Friend had hysterectomy. Realized I never really thought about how much space a uterus takes, and how much musculature must be attached in order to potentially keep a child in place. The photos you see most often emphasize the child or fallopian apparatus; not the supporting musculature.

Gloria Steinem was the palatable face of the movement -not really radical, but reasonable. I say this not just from reading her obit, but also from reading and hearing some of the rhetoric in the day. I visited the US. The guy at the hostel nailed it: the world cup showed people that maybe it was ok to visit the US. Per my ex, ICE has been relatively absent in this renowned sanctuary city. I suggested that maybe they don't want to disturb the tech cash flow.
