There's a section where it mentions she was below grade level on reading...but that was just because she had never taken the literacy assessment and in fact read just fine.
Snippet from the New York Times article

Then one day in December, Najya came home and excitedly informed me that she had suddenly jumped three grade levels in reading in one month. Knowing that this was virtually impossible, I reached out to the school’s literacy coach and learned that after we began asking for the reading assessment, Najya’s teacher had instructed the coach to perform the evaluation and that she found Najya was reading just fine. What became clear to me was that Najya’s teacher had most likely never performed the school’s mandatory reading assessments for Najya or any of her classmates but instead had assumed the flagging competency of these mostly low-income Black children.

Nope. One pollster made stuff up, but her polling numbers were very strong across the board
A screenshot of a New York Times list of primary poll results for the Wisconsin gubernatorial democratic primary. It shows poll results going back to Sept. 28-30. Hong is ahead slightly in most polls until July 2026, at which point her margins jump to +20-+30 for most polls.

Now *this* is content
A New York Times Live post of the removal of Trump's name from the Kennedy center. It shows a picture of stacked pizza boxes on top of a truck, with the text:

The crowd cheers as one of the work crew members stacks what looks to be 10 large pizzas on the bed of the truck. One worker digs in — it seems like this will be a working dinner.A New York Times Live post about the removal of Trump's name from the Kennedy center.

"The scaffolding is nearly complete. A crew member stands within an arm’s reach of the letters they must remove."
A New York Times Live post of the removal of Trump's name from the Kennedy center.

"The building crew is adding another tier of scaffolding that would extend above the letters to be removed. Spectators are murmuring their confusion. 'This feels like overkill,' one said."

Their equality is theoretical at best given the limited access to benefits (tied to IDF participation which de facto locks them out). And even that is questionable - if Jewish people have a "unique right to exercise self-determination in Israel", Arabs aren't equal. www.cfr.org/backgrounder...
Screenshot from the linked article:

Another major difference is that, unlike the vast majority of Jewish Israelis, Arab citizens do not have to serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the country’s military. They can still enlist, and some do, especially Druze and Circassians, but some are stigmatized in their communities as a result. Yet, not enlisting can significantly disadvantage them both socially and economically. For instance, many Israelis make important and lasting personal connections with their fellow citizens through the IDF, and they also receive many financial benefits, such as education assistance and discounted permits for building homes and owning land.

In the FAQ at the bottom too!
FAQ section

Do these results say that AI isn't useful in software engineering?

No—it seems plausible or likely that AI tools are useful in many other contexts different from our setting, for example, for less experienced developers, or for developers working in an unfamiliar codebase. See Appendix B for potential misreadings/overgeneralizations we do not endorse on the basis of our results.

c'mon man they provide a whole table warning people against overgeneralizing their conclusions like this!
Given both the importance of understanding AI capabilities/risks, and the diversity of perspectives on these topics, we feel it’s important to forestall potential misunderstandings or over-generalizations of our results. We list claims that we do not provide evidence for in Table 2.

We do not provide evidence that:	Clarification
AI systems do not currently speed up many or most software developers	We do not claim that our developers or repositories represent a majority or plurality of software development work
AI systems do not speed up individuals or groups in domains other than software development	We only study software development
AI systems in the near future will not speed up developers in our exact setting	Progress is difficult to predict, and there has been substantial AI progress over the past five years [2]
There are not ways of using existing AI systems more effectively to achieve positive speedup in our exact setting	Cursor does not sample many tokens from LLMs, it may not use optimal prompting/scaffolding, and domain/repository-specific training/finetuning/few-shot learning could yield positive speedup

Every time I reread this my soul dies a little more
Screenshot from a news article. Social media is simply a more appealing news source for Khanal, who says he’s turned off by the biases and political leanings of traditional news outlets. News influencers, on the other hand, are “actually connected to the people they’re getting their news for.” Khanal’s behavior is not unusual.

As truly hilarious as the headline is next to the Onion classic, the point of the article wasn't that it's impossible for the US as a whole to prevent, it's that the US is so awash in guns that no individual state or corporation can stop it.
A screenshot from a New York Times article. It reads:

"But a piecemeal network of looser regulations nationwide enabled a lone gunman with no criminal history to drive undetected across several states on his way to the city.

“It feels impossible to stop something like this,” Ms. Blair said.

The attack underscores the limits that even a dense web of gun safety laws and private security precautions can have in a country flooded with inexpensive weapons. Beginning last week, the gunman, Shane Devon Tamura, 27, who lived in Nevada, drove through several states, including Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa and New Jersey, before arriving in Midtown Manhattan, his BMW filled with ammunition."

This is a wild argument. The multitrillion dollar corporation couldn't possibly create games people want to play without ruthless staff cuts every couple of years.
A screenshot from the article containing a snippet of an all-staff email from Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer. It reads:

"I recognize that these changes come at a time when we have more players, games, and gaming hours than ever before. Our platform, hardware, and game roadmap have never looked stronger. The success we’re seeing currently is based on tough decisions we’ve made previously."

Nah, tracked down the original survey (bottom of the page here, q 41) www.cbsnews.com/news/deporta... 37% of people believe that the Trump admin should be able to just eject people out of the country with no court hearing or any legal process at all.
A screenshot from a CBS News/YouGov survey, asking "If the Trump administration wants to deport someone rom the U.S. who is not a U.S. citizen, what should happen to that person next? That person should..."

63% of respondents said "First get a U.S. court hearing or other U.S. legal process, beore they can be deported"

37% said "Be deported, without getting a U.S. court hearing or legal process frst"
