I kinda assume it's about the drama reviews, but alas, it might be the scientific upper body analysis posts.

Who even is doing that? Is it still the dumb anti feminist thing?

Members are all in their 30s and some of them are definitely Kpopalypse stan material: Besides Subin one is a famous Mukbang youtuber named Mukgang, one is a streamer and the last one is a 3 times Maxim cover model named Park Minjung with a matching IG bait feed. (enjoy) www.instagram.com/1995.mj

Since I know you always appreciate science, a few facts about that OSDS group Subin is in that might pique your interest: It's marketed as an EDM group, so idk how this shit excuse for a song played into it, maybe it's just the usual garbage predebut song or something.

Yeah, the button for it is on the civ selection screen bottom left. I just always forget it's there and then reload and do everything again. (I now regularly save before age ends, learned that lesson) ...

Anyone else playing #civ7 who forgets to change mementos on every single age transition? Every. Single. One.? @civgame.bsky.social

Classic idol first pitch right there, lmao

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

Damn, Lisa dropped a genuine banger. Easily her best song so far and one that actually utilizes the talent she collabed with instead of just phoning it in or completely breaking the song. (*cough* Hi Rosalia *cough*) - unexpected but appreciated. youtu.be/kbEC-AGr9n0?...

To be fair, that Tom's Diner sample is just that good. Suzanne Vega's masterpiece.

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

And yes, I know #Jennie had a cb. It had a pretty good MV, I just didn't vibe with the songs too much. I might just do these threads monthly, cause why not. 😄

000

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

Rounding out the month was #GIDLE 's Minnie with her solo debut Her. I really love the Billie Eilishesqe sound for her, it's a good fit. The MV is incredibly fun and well worth a watch. The song itself is very loopable and probably my 2nd most listened to this year so far youtu.be/UTHqh7Vpa64?...

For some much needed nugu love we have Seo Eve with They Never Know. Just a little fun song, really. Stan more nugus, folks. Make them less nugu. youtu.be/gmnztLpdtGM?...

Next up in my list are #IVE with their pre-release song Rebel Heart. It's a great tune, even if it's not my favorite IVE song and I'm way more excited for Attitude with its Tom's Diner sample (Shoutout Suzanne Vega, my mom loved that song back in the day). Worth a listen! youtu.be/g36q0ZLvygQ?...

But also Gfriend's B-Side, "Always" which is probably my most listened to song this year so far. While Season of Memories had the classic Gfriend sound, Always upheld the tradition of incredibly fun and catchy fan songs that Gfriend have established for themselves. youtu.be/B6Lf6k2Vq4w?...

Starting off strong with Gfriend - Season of Memories As a long time Buddy with #Gfriend being my all time favorites by a long shot this comeback was pure joy (with the big caveat of it happening under SoMu who were doing their best to milk it for much needed PR) youtu.be/DxMu1pv8b9Y?...

My January #Kpop highlights: A short thread (it's been a rather slow start to the year)

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

I mean, people still believe that The Bachelor/ette is real and the show winner is totally hooking up with them and they're living a happy life together, too.

010

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 23/01/2025

The backwards logic of this is always amazing, too. Like yes, we prefer our idols to be adults cause Kpop companies inevitably put idols into outfits, concepts, stages and videos that are inappropriate for the average jailbait debut lineup full of 14yr olds. Difficult concept to grasp, I know.

010

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Not surprised that the worst Kpop "news" site with their unapolotegic revenge porn posting history is going mask off. Next thing you know is them reposting Elon "throwing his heart out"

030

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Hey man, as long as I don't get site updates twice if I also follow your hot takes main.

010

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Idol getting into a relationship? Canceled. Idol not getting into a relationship? Canceled. Maybe they should try the whole immaculate conception thing because as we all know idols are pure and would never do anything naughty.

010

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

To be fair, he was awful long before Elon did his first SNS post. Just easy to forget because Elon makes way more noise than Zuck.

100

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 10/01/2025

What would you even do without vaguely Hybe related drama? That company and its deranged stans truly are the gift that keeps on giving.

I too would like them to do choreo while playing their instruments. Go all out, juggle the drum set, do chair choreo on the bass & guitar, do the Elton John on the keyboard. After all music at live gigs is all prerecorded and doesn't need to be actually performed. Every Kpop fan knows that.

I've seen this mess develop the other day. Hybe really trying to end the year on an even bigger L than before.

Ah yes, I too book cheap rooms in love hotels and ask X to be prepared in advance to be alone, cause as we all know housekeeping is excellent in such establishments, after all the challenges they face are immense.

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 18/12/2024

Is there anyone even remotely normal left in the US conservatives space? Why is every single one of those people unhinged? How is that country even still going? So many questions, so little answers.

020

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 08/12/2024

I must say, Bluesky is nice in its own right. The only downside is I can't actually leave the bird site completely due to one of the big communities I follow being too slow at migrating (if they ever will to begin with).

010

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 07/12/2024

Some freshly migrated people are stuck in their Elon-app ways I guess. Luckily it's easier to manage around here.

I'm not sure if that's better or worse than people calling the members stupid for wanting to leave that shitty company. How dare they.

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 17/11/2024

I love them and their music so much and I've missed them dearly and shall treasure all these moments that we're granted in my heart! Here's hope to see many such moments again as they get together happily in between their solo ventures.

I know this place isn't much of a Kpop domain, but I gotta gush for a little bit - Seeing Lovelyz reunite and seeing all the cams from their anniversary concerts is just pure happy bliss. For You playing as they happily jump around the stage leaving me emotional. Like such youtu.be/IvNySlTyH9w?...

As tedious as it might be, I feel it's also an actually important moment for the Kpop ecosystem as a whole. Cause if arguably the biggest current gen girl group (besides maybe aespa) manages to successfully beat their company in court and free themselves that's actually huge. (MHJ nonwithstanding)

Upside of 50% is, you can just go do one thing, load up in the hot springs and then do another. So like, go do all the farm stuff, then relax in the springs and do mines/diving after. Just really doesn't work with fishing, cause that just by its nature takes all day regardless.

100

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

I just got back to playing that as well, already had 180hrs pre-Merfolk fully added patch. I just set it to 50% speed and have zero stress as I do whatever I want to there. It's nice.

Grumpy @grumpygerman.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

New social media, new... idk, everything I guess. The sound of silence will be interesting to see compared to the everlasting noise of Twitter. Anyway, I love games, I do listen to Kpop despite being well outside of its main demographic and do other silly stuff. Intro out.
