Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Finally back at the waiting desk after getting one that's a more comfy height. Started on this chap last night. Really pleased with the glory effect on the arch bit. #paintingminis #minipainting #warhammercommunity 2264

Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 17/05/2025Yeah, that brought back some unpleasant childhood TV memories. 040
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 10/04/2025I’ve still not done any painting so here is another cute picture of my dog hugging her dismembered unicorn while napping in a sunbeam. #dogsofbluesky #shibainu #miniaturepainting #notreally 0140
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 28/03/2025I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve not been painting as much as I should. So instead, here is a picture of my dog, Yuki, being very unimpressed about wearing my scarf. #dogsofbluesky #shiba #notwarhammer 0120
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 16/01/2025Apart from a victory lap, he’s done. Only 6 more to go 🫠😭 #miniaturepainting #paintingminiatures #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k 0423
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 12/01/2025I’m getting a bit red blind from the Angels of Death so I thoughts I’d try out my colour scheme for the Plague Marines. Desolate Brown went on much darker than I thought but I really like it. I also enjoy painting skulls. #paintingminiatures #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #warhmer40k 0101
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 09/01/2025The hologram in the hand is very nice but you’re right, the green is very nice. 100
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 09/01/2025Calling these three done… ish.. maybe. For now anyway. Want to keep them simple so I can actually play a game without fretting about scuffed paint. #miniaturepainting #paintingminiatures #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k 0172
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 07/01/2025Ah it’s not all one piece! Sorry is just assumed it was an odd design choice. 010

Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 07/01/2025I definitely think I’ve improved since I painted the chap on the left. There is about 4 years between the two. #miniaturepainting #paintingminiatures #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k 3613

Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 05/01/2025I’m terrible at drilling out barrels. They always end up off centre. 110
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 05/01/2025I’ve made a start painting the new Kill Team starter set. Decided on a Blood Angels scheme for the marine team. Looking not too bad so far I reckon. #minipainting #paintingminiatures #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k 1221

Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 16/11/2024Sorting out your paints will not make you a better painter but it will give you more mental bandwidth when painting to focus on what you are doing instead of wondering where the hells that pot earthshade is. 020

Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 23/10/2024It would seem that’s another vote for the “one big base” side of the debate! 🤣 220
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 23/10/2024Fair. I’m a painter rather than a player so two different use cases I guess! I’m going to get round to actually playing a game of Killteam… eventually. 110
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 23/10/2024I see where you are coming from but I like the cohesive look from having the whole unit on one mini diorama base. 110

Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 22/10/2024They need a varnish and a victory lap round the base but they are done. I’ll need to take some prettier pictures later. #paintingminiatures #minipainting #warhammercommunity #warhammer40k 1283

Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 06/10/2024I’ve had to bodge together a makeshift painting lamp after it went pop and smoke started coming from it. It’s my SAD lamp and some gorilla tape. If it’s stupid and it work then it’s not stupid. #miniaturepainting #fail 020
Martin @gruffled.bsky.social · 05/10/2024I’ve gotten all the uniforms done. Now to spend far too long on all the fiddly bits! First time doing a plasma gun. I’m not entirely satisfied with the result but if I fiddle more I’ll never get the rest of them done! #miniaturepainting #paintingminiatures #warhammer40k #killteam #imperialguard 2124
