9(!) years ago today my long distance gf DM’d me at a Barbershop 🎵 competition in Las Vegas acting as a wingman for their bestie who thought I was cute ☺️ If they hadn’t been a bold friend, we wouldn’t have fallen in love 4 years later & be on our 5th year of a beautiful bond I’ll cherish forever.

A text thread that began October 12, 2017.

“Hey great job on stage! My friend Chelsea and i thought you were amazing.
Dunno if you're with anybody, but Chelsea would be interested in meeting you
We're here in vegas”

I’ve been at the United Astrology Conference all day every day for a week. It was wonderful, imperfect, expansive, energizing, exhausting, and full of synchronicity and magic. The universe has given me myriad blessings. I know I’m supposed to be an Astrologer. I’m doing what lights me up. #astrosky

I want you to know the air quality scale tops out at 500.

AirNow.gov shows Chicago’s air quality at 720 due to Canadian forest fires, having grown steadily worse all day.

So we’re at the vet hospital. Barley is going to be checked in for an overnight stay for surgery to remove her tumor and post-op. Possibly needing radiation later on to ensure they kill the parts of the tumor they can't get. We will know more later today and tomorrow! 🙏 please send healing energy

One of my #tarot practices is a Card Chorus. Each deck contributes one card, one voice. To understand the message, I listen the story and unified voice of the chorus as a whole.

A selection of 8 cards arranged on my table illustrate themes of strength and persistence while dwelling in the liminal mystery—knowing the end of the story has not yet been written. It’s time to surrender the outcomes, trusting I’m capable to meet whatever comes.

Thinking about the triple cazimi at 17° Capricorn on the day Renee Nicole Good was murdered … and how the Sabian Symbol for Cap 18 is “The Union Jack” interpreted by James Burgess as “The Power of State” 💯

Capricorn 18 (17° - 18°)
THE POWER OF STATE
We all live under the umbrella of an imperial force that has its own political agenda that rarely takes our preferences onto account
"Coping with the tyranny of unconscious people"
Political power exists because the majority of people are not yet sufficiently advanced to behave responsibly and with sensitivity to others' needs and wishes. The protection provided by the State is a real and important necessity of civilised communities; and yet such power is a corrupting influence. Very few people are capable of using any power selflessly, and the greater the power, the bigger the risk of falling prey to its dark shadow.

So it’s been snowing a lot in Chicago. We gathered ~11 inches. ❄️

My courtyard with fresh snow on the bushes, bench, fountain, and branches

My face during a snow storm. Snow scattered on my orange and brown scarf and blue beanie that says “Queer Magic”

Coming home from a Friendsgiving with snow still falling last night. Cars, trees, and shrubs are covered in snow in the background. I’m smiling behind my striped scarf

I love the way the snow builds up on our front gate.
