If you’re at #AGU2025, come check out some of the amazing talks/posters from our group at the UC Davis Institute of the Environment! We’ve got a full day of enhanced rock weathering content on Monday, and I’m giving a talk on Friday about an exciting new tool I’ve been working on!

Upcoming talks from the California Collaborative for Natural Climate Change Solutions at AGU25:

Distinguished professor Isabel Montañez will give a talk titled “A holistic geochemical approach to tracking ERW in amended irrigated pasture” on Monday in the 10:30-12:00 session in New Orleans Theater C.

Postdoctoral scholar Jaeeun Sohng will give a talk titled “Synergestic effects of enhanced rock weathering and organic jnouts on microbial communities and soil organic carbon accrual” on Monday in the 08:30-10:00 session in New Orleans Theater C.

Research tech Seth Whiteaker will present a poster titled “Agronomic impact of stacking enhanced rock weathering and compost in a pasture agroecosystem” on Monday in the afternoon poster session and give a talk titled “Transportation isoemissions identify where CDR works and who benefits” on Friday in the 10:30-12:00 session in rooms 203-205.

I had no idea soil science was a Thing You Can Do until I was well into my undergrad, so it was so cool to talk to all of the kids who came by about how I get to play with dirt for a living!
