Craig P @growcurious.com · 15/05/2026This pecan tree had its moment to show off its lines and brighter-than-all-the-neighbors leaves just before sunset. 010
Craig P @growcurious.com · 13/05/2026Luckily no one was driving on this country road, so I could stop completely and grab some phone pics. 053
Craig P @growcurious.com · 18/01/2026Bird tracks in new dusting of snow. I’m guessing it was my nosey Carolina Wren 🪶 0130
Craig P @growcurious.com · 07/12/2025Very said discovery today. Found the white squirrel dead. I really enjoyed seeing him around daily. No idea what happened. No wounds. 150
Craig P @growcurious.com · 22/11/2025I just looked up the Gallant book and wow. That’s the book I remember laying in my living room floor looking through as a kid back in the 80’s! Has it been updated? 100

Craig P @growcurious.com · 20/09/2025On my walk today down this country road, the sunset lit up these kudzu tendrils and their yearning to spread seemed especially pressing 🌿 020
Craig P @growcurious.com · 10/09/2025I’ve helped a few window-strike victims. And I always take the opportunity to get close up photos, as long as the bird doesn’t get too stressed by being close 020
Craig P @growcurious.com · 10/09/2025This morning I heard the dreaded sound of a bird strike on one of my windows. I investigated & found this stunned yellow-billed cuckoo. I gathered it up gently and let it recover on my porch rail, an easier launch point. After about 15 min, it flew away. High fives! 170
Craig P @growcurious.com · 29/08/2025Sorry so grainy. I saw him a second time, in a very close tree, but by the time I got my phone out, he was gone. Haven’t seen him since. 110
Craig P @growcurious.com · 10/08/2025It’s always a little thrill to spot a Red Velvet Ant…which is a wasp. So fast. (My finger for scale) 🪲 040
Craig P @growcurious.com · 07/06/2025Not sure what this assassin bug is carrying. Maybe a leaf scale insect? 🪲 061
Craig P @growcurious.com · 26/05/2025This house finch ran into my glass door. She was stunned, but eventually flew off. While she cleared the cobwebs I got this portrait. 🪶 091
Craig P @growcurious.com · 14/05/2025It’s some sort of assassin bug for sure. If it’s a wheel bug, wait until the adults show up and you’ll be amazed. 010
Craig P @growcurious.com · 14/05/2025Found a first today. A carrion beetle. Three of them, actually. Very shy. 🪲 🌿 000
Craig P @growcurious.com · 06/05/2025More Cardinals nest cam. Their eyes are open now. I love how her crest pops up as she turns to the camera. Vogue. 🪶🌿 #birds 040
Craig P @growcurious.com · 04/05/2025I only knew this was a queen with a starter kit from following your photos. Thanks! 010
Craig P @growcurious.com · 30/04/2025Ok #invert folks: is this a queen paper wasp out with a nest starter kit? That’s my uneducated guess. 🌿 020
