I think I found the oldest (or at least one of the oldest) Sonic “Horror” related videos on YouTube & it’s a video about a Sonic plush jumping a dude named “Kyle” (I’m serious) for not enjoying Sonic Heroes. The video predates the release of Shadow’s game along with 06.

some more designs I've been holding on to Kito was the easiest to design I believe, and was the first

clownish looking hedgehog, bright red nose and cheeks

a hat sits atop one ear, while the other droops down with a ring

wears an open vest and baggy pants

a lankier hedgehog, robes drooping from its frame

in fact, it starts to look rather droopy overall

I changed the vest to a coat on gekido, something a little more rough

smug hedgehog, holding a long stick, adorning clothing fit for a hot environment.

although he wears a hat here, he does not adorn it in the final comic

so just a heads up moving forward I'll probably be more open about sonic.exe projects, as in I'll share wips as I'm working on them. just kind of tired of the shadow dropping, working on stuff that isn't meant to be shown so, for some things, I'll be more open about them so I can post more

here is a rough outline of a page from the yokubo comic, featuring tails and bark

you can see from the top, that the sun is beating down on them, moving down we see they're in a sand palace, and bark takes in the sights around him as they keep walking

another thing to note is I had completely drafted out yokubo's comic in mspaint, but I was unsatisfied with the pacing and framing that came with being restricted to a single panel I felt I was framing it as more of an animatic than a comic, and so I took some time to rethink the approach

here is a low quality screenshot of the mspaint file I doodled most of the comic on

I may be more open about it, but I'm not going to outright spoil the big stuff
