Apart from the old stuff (own collection and bulk purchases) sometimes I buy and build new(er) sets. This is Lego set 11505 Woodland Mushrooms / Bospaddestoelen. Very nice set, even with those big shovels I call "hands".

EN: Woodland fungi including fibrecap, earthstar, chanterelle, bonnet and other mushroom varieties.
NL: Bospaddenstoelen als vliegenzwammen, vezelkopjes, aardsterren, cantharellen, mycena’s, als ook varens.

Bought some more bulk boxes of Lego, and collected missing pieces from Bricklink sellers. Has been slow going, and not much takers on Marketplace for what I had finished. Until I deleted them for not being available two weeks ago. Immediately on relisting got some buyers. 3 gone from 1st batch

Bought 2 boxes of Lego yesterday. One was 3 KG, the other 7,5 KG. Started sorting the smaller one today; already have 9 sets, 3 are 100% complete. Mostly newer stuff (2015 and later), so will not be keeping them. After cleanup, being made complete and photographed can make someone else happy.

I didn't do a cartoon about the NATO summit this year, but here are some I did last year. #NATO #Trump #Europe
A cartoon shows a NATO meeting disrupted by fanfare as Trump enters on a red carpet, greeted by a woman with a cooling fan and two waiters serving McDonald’s. His gold throne and flag are displayed near the American flag.
Cartoon showing a game show titled 'The future of Europe'. The two 'O's' in the title are the NATO and the EU logo. Trump is standing at a spinning roulette wheel holding up a small ball. The roulette wheel only has two options where the ball can land: a tiny green segment is labeled 'good', while the rest of the circle is one large red segment labeled 'not so good'. NATO secretary general Mark Rutte and Ursula von der Leyen look at the wheel in despair, while Putin sits in the audience eating popcorn.
A cartoon shows Donald Trump at a pulpit with the NATO flag behind him. Audience members in pews offer money, while Mark Rutte collects donations in a basket. A sign reads Payeth and be saved. Zelensky stands outside a castle wall. Inside the castle, well-dressed people gather at a NATO Summit under a NATO banner, drink champagne. A waiter is lowering a glass of champagne by a rope to Zelensky, who looks up angrily.

Yesterday's vintage Lego rebuild: 383-1 - Truck with Excavator [1973] This one was in the bulk I purchased a month back, but still matches nice in my own collection. Steering parts 100% operational, and the winch works as it should.

Lego rebuild of the Day: 126-1 Steam Locomotive [1970] Again identified from the easy recognizable printed pieces. Had to substitute one Brick 1x6 to complete. And sadly, the conversion to a 4.5v version has been delayed due to broken pieces.

In the middle the actual 4,5v engine, again in black. The upper and lower halves next to each other, and the complete innards missing.

Staying in the airplane theme: Rebuild of Lego set 1611-2 - Martinair DC-9 [1978] A promotional set, and the only set to use these window bricks (3001oldpb05 / 3001apr0005), likely the reason they are not in Studio (yet). Stickers took a hit in 48 years, but glad the parts were still together.

And another set rebuild: 850-1 Technic Forklift Set had number 950-1 in the USA. Great set. Not too hard to build, even though this is still with very few instruction steps (13, but un-numbered in the booklet). Nice play features with the steering and the lift-arms.

While collecting parts for another rebuild (bsky.app/profile/grot...) I noticed I had two chefs. But for the life of me I could not identify where the second pne could have come from. Looks like I have a previous version of CMF (Collectible Mini Figures): 6302-1 - Mini-Figure Set
My current version of Lego 6302-1 Mini-Figure Set.

Today's LEGO rebuild: 675-1 Snack Bar All inventories I have seen show 2 red cups, but I have located none in my ever improving sorted stash, so used 2 yellows (for now?) And the bricks will need a very good cleaning after 47 years being played with and in storage.

Another one initially back together - in my memory my first set: Lego 310-3 Tug Damage on the front hull section, all but one stickers missing, and heavy discolorization. Need to see what happens after cleaning. Have to decide if replacing the stickers is good or bad (repro available on eBay).
Rebuild Lego set 310-3 Tug

Blue wheel house on a white deck, red hull, yellow mast.
Age heavily impacted the color of the blue and transparent parts.

3 section for the hull to allow it to actually float. Heavy keel to sure it stays upright in the bath tub. Two sets of small wheels for when playing on the floor.Dutch sales brochure showing Lego set # 310-3 - Tug.

Price of Fl 10,50 would now be approx € 5, disgarding 50 years of inflation.

Completed the initial sorting of my Lego stash. Memories come back when you see some of the pieces. Still need to clean all up, but was able to rebuild an initial set: 215 - Red Indians Feather headsets available, but due to age not used. [boys arms shorted after verify] Need to replace 1 paddle
Photo of the initial rebuild of Lego set 215 - Red Indians.

The 23 parts of mon have only 3 instructions!
The girl (14 parts) is just one image, no instructions!

Then 21 parts for the canoe in 3 steps, and the final one has 2 boys of 8 parts each included - would take 4 pages in a modern booklet.

Collected my Lego from storage, to see what's still there. Started around 1972 and the sets have been growing when my little sister added some sets. Most will need a good cleaning, seen several broken parts, but surprised by the amount of instructions. Some original Lego-storage boxes included.
Plastic suitcase with a collection of 70's/80's Lego instructions, 2 train track switches, a railroad crossing and a stack of city road plates.Cardboard box with 7 organizer cases, of which 4 orignal Lego.

Been waiting for this to become available for a normal price (not 50% up by scalpers): 76328-1 - Super Heroes - Batman Classic TV Series Available again at LEGO this week, after months. Just in time for its July 2026 retirement. Full price, but do not expect discounts this late in its life time.

And another one for a very good price: Lego 42141-2 - Mclaren F1 2022 [Technic] V2, as indicated by the thicker lines on the wheel covers. Has some minor sun damage - need to see if we need to / can fix that.

While browsing the local Marketplace found an ad I thought was too good to be true. Just walked 10 minutes to pick up a complete (box, book, and spares) built Lego 42156-1 - Peugeot 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar [Technic] for ~1/4 of the original price. Original, no chinese knock-off.

While I have hopes with a new government in Hungary, let's not be too optimistic, yet. Orban will have defined contingencies, 2+ decades of corruption will not just magically disappear, and you cannot replace everyone you suspect or do not like all at once without causing operational impact.

A long time ago I used to play a lot with LEGO. My first sets are from the 1970's, including the "large" figures with articulated arms and rond hands. The announcement of the upcoming release of 11376 Ford Model T triggered me to get back into that. www.lego.com/nl-nl/produc...
