grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 25/12/2024Having in-laws who think any change in a schedule is a death knell is exhausting. They are so melodramatic. It's not the end of the world for something to change. Sheesh..and now they'll be living with us. 000

grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 18/12/2024I know this is a first world problem, but trying to survive on one income sucks. Thank goodness my in-laws are moving in & insist on paying rent. We said no, but they're insisting, so we said to pick an amount they're okay with. While waiting for my DH's disability to be approved, I'll take it. 010
grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 18/12/2024One weird thing about these Blackhawks is who has helped who this year. Who would have known playing on the 4th line w/ Maroon & Smith would help Reichel? And now they're our best line? Insane. Who knew having Mikheyev & Teravainen on the same line would create chemistry? Hockey is crazy. 030
grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 16/12/2024Today has been very Mondayish. Slept through my alarm & woke up 3 hours late. Good thing no one knew I was going into the office today, so I can just go in tomorrow like I "planned" to. And it's cold, rainy, and miserable out, so it's a perfect day to work at home. 020
grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 11/12/2024The Blackhawks played the Rangers the other day and they have a player named Berard. So there was a Bedard and Berard playing at the same time....like the two Sebastian Ahos weren't confusing enough. 000
grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 11/12/2024Does anyone else make sound effects when giving their pets medicine? We have a diabetic cat who needs insulin 2x/day and every time I give him a dose I make a little "boop" or "woop" sound as if the insulin wouldn't work if I gave it to him w/o sound effects. 110

grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 08/12/2024My husband and I are supposed to go pick up a 75 gallon fish tank from a house that's roughly worth $1.1M. For some reason that fact scares the shit out of me. I have this insane paranoia that we're about to become victims of a serial killer. Also, my husband can't walk that well...so....yeah.... 321

You'd think that the one with evocative, emotional language ("tragic"), that centers the need for safety, and was written by an army of reporters would be the one about two kindergarteners getting shot at school, but buddy, this is America. 69244

grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 04/12/2024My husband has had a horrible year, medically speaking. He has stage 3 kidney failure & just got out of the hospital for the 2nd time this year. This time was worse as he couldn't walk, couldn't even stand up by himself. Today he went down the stairs and back up w/ no help. It's the little things... 000

grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 29/11/2024Well, the Lions won so I'm happy for them. The Bears deserved to lose with how those last few minutes were epically mismanaged. We need a new coach. 000
grneyes78.bsky.social @grneyes78.bsky.social · 28/11/2024Ugh....who do I want to root for in this football game? Raised a Bears fan but also rooted for the Lions b/c my mom was raised a Lions fan. I want both teams to win. It'll be an historical win for the Lions as they'll be 11-1 but the Bears really really really really really need a win. 010
