These evil bastards, serving the community and allowing you to play basketball! I'm quite tired.
Officials said ISGKC will use the building to continue serving students and families with educational programming while also offering community services, such as open gym access and a food pantry.

I don't want to engage with this thought after looking it up, I don't want to think about it but... COME THE FUCK ON, I am absolutely sure I went to high school with a dude who was a better wrestler. And was a generally nice guy. This should not be the thing that annoys me, but it does annoy me.

How have I missed that you were at this game? Feel like I'd spend the rest of my life talking about nothing but being at that game, people would become very tired of me.
Personally, I remember Rush for being the QB during Central Michigan’s 34-point comeback during the 2014 Bahamas Bowl I attended.

I was trying to figure out whatever military propaganda movie I once saw about helicopters that was like you can't fly one unless you use a periscope. Failed finding that but please enjoy the thought of this film apparently about a cop fighting a helicopter:
Blue Thunder is a 1983 American action thriller film directed by John Badham and starring Roy Scheider, Malcolm McDowell, Daniel Stern, Candy Clark and Warren Oates. It depicts a Los Angeles police officer (Scheider) who discovers a conspiracy to dominate the city with an advanced military helicopter.

A spin-off television series, also called Blue Thunder, ran for 11 episodes in 1984

Ramses the VIII actually grew old and died of natural (or at least we can't prove otherwise) causes. He had an exciting life nevertheless. He was kidnapped by NYU and taken to a farm in Connecticut before the cops found him and brought him back.
The first Ramses to grow old and die of natural causes. Kidnapped by NYU and taken to a Connecticut farm. New York State troopers picked him up at the state lines and he was escorted to the game by four squad cars and six motorcycles, sirens blaring. He arrived just in time for halftime. He also made headlines in 1941 when he escorted models at the British Relief Society's fashion show.

This is the short version, which includes little things like Fordham was once 'The Rose Hills' instead of the Rams? I mean that's cool but not inspiring for a football team.
In the 1890's, the sports cheer of the Fordham men was "One-Dam, Two-Dam, Three-Dam, Fordham!" This was brought to the attention of the Jesuit fathers and the word "dam" was changed to "ram". In 1906 J. Ignatius Coveny composed "The Fordham Ram" and the official name of the sports teams was changed from "The Rose Hills" to "The Rams".

The first live ram moved onto campus in 1925. Named Ramses, a live mascot reigned until the late 1970s. Twenty-eight animals held this royal position and students were assigned to be Ram Watchers. The last ram, Ramses XXVIII, died in April 1978.

Weighing over 160 pounds, it took at least five students to bath the animal. Rising food and medical costs plus an increasing need for security was becoming a financial drain for the university. Following the death of Ramses XXVIII the live animal was replaced by a student dressed in a ram costume.

Been reading about feral hogs and I kinda love that the governments stance seems to be 'no, you can't do anything about this. They are more powerful and smarter than we are. They will outbreed us and take over eventually if we oppose them That AR-15 to kill 15-30 of them ain't gonna save us.
When hunters shoot feral hogs, it complicates efforts to remove these pests. Hogs are social animals that travel in groups called sounders. Shooting one or two hogs scatters the sounder and makes trapping efforts aimed at catching the entire group at once more difficult, because hogs become trap-shy and more wary of baited sites. With their high reproductive rate, removing one or two hogs does not help to reduce populations. Anyone who observes a feral hog or damage caused by feral hogs should report it to the Department of Conservation rather than shooting the animal so we can work together towards eradication.

Hey, friend. Have you ever considered where the source of the horseshit, which I agree exists, may be coming from?
Aaron Rodgers once again being a guy who is too damned old to be this much of a douche: “I dated two women who nobody gives a fuck about unless they drop my name,” Rodgers began. “And they like to say their version of the history of what happened, and so I’m just this monster of a partner, and it’s just fucking horse shit.”

Ok I read the article like I should before replying...but, file this under stuff I don't believe? Like where is the revenue from a built data center going other than to whoever built ti?
The developer of the project said it carries significant fiscal benefits for the area. The city of Osawatomie is expected to receive annual revenues of $30 million or more, including property tax, franchise fees and other local revenues — funds projected to flow directly into roads, public safety, parks and other quality-of-life services. Miami County is expected to benefit by more than $10 million annually, and USD 367, the Osawatomie School District, is projected to receive more than $10 million in annual property tax revenue.

Just gonna note that random reddit posts are surprisingly good tech support. This saved me a lot of pain in the ass when something went wonky after a power outage.
Check C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Search for "CSI payload corrupt". That will give you a list of files that are corrupted. It will look something like this:

2023-11-18 10:41:10, Info CBS (p)	CSI Payload Corrupt	(n) amd64_microsoft-windows-msmq-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.3693_none_3da07c8809440c41\r\Microsoft.Msmq.PowerShell.Commands.dll

Take note of the entire filename, or rather the path component of it. You specifically need the exact same version.

Now take a healthy machine that's as close as possible to the update level of the corrupted file(s). In this case UBR 3693. (Slightly over is fine, maybe up2date is not. Versions under will not work.)

    amd64_microsoft-windows-msmq-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.3693_none_3da07c8809440c41

You need that specific version. No way around it.

Go to the healthy machines "C:\Windows\WinSxS" folder and copy that entire folder (here "amd64_microsoft-windows-msmq-powershell_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.3693_none_3da07c8809440c41") to your broken machine, e.g. to "C:\Repair". Do that for all the corrupted files, though just take the entire folder even if just one corrupted file is in the log.

Once you have all the files, you can run the following command:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /source:"C:\Repair"

That should get your machine fixed right up.

If you can't find the correct files/versions on a healthy machine, chances are that the older versions have been replaced by an update. You will have to either find an older non-updated machine with the correct files, set one up, or (though i haven't actually tested this) download the Windows update corresponding to the version in the file path and extract the .cab files inside a couple times. That should in theory give you the required files too.

...etc (run sfc /scannow after doing this

Shoulda kept reading, the author puts it better than I did.
We witness the same pattern over and over. A tech project is declared "apolitical," and defines any accommodation of marginalized contributors as a political act, and keeps the actual politics of the maintainers—nostalgia for ethnically white homogeneous cities and hostility to gender-neutral pronouns—off the table entirely. Because that's just, you know, how they feel. "Apolitical" has never meant a lack of politics. It's meant politics that current power doesn't have to defend.

Not that this matters a whole lot because I won't be going to the KC Star for box scores much but what in the world is going on here? Nuss did not throw 9 TDs, or even a TD for 9 yards. He threw 0. The TB QBs did not have more attempts than completions.
A passing line of a preseason game box score that claims Garrett Nussmeier threw 9 TD passes (he threw 0).A Buccaneers part of the box score that claims every Tampa Bay QB threw for more completions than they made attempts.

Trying to figure out what makes Milligan so good at Disc Golf and apparently it's faith and a lack of booze.
As a church-related liberal arts university, Milligan remains closely aligned with the Christian Churches/Churches of Christ, a capella churches of Christ, and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the three religious bodies that have traditionally supported the school. A campus ministry program and culture of service exist on campus.[9][10][11] Alcohol and tobacco use are prohibited on campus. On August 1, 2019, the university changed its alcohol policy to allow students over the age of 21 to drink alcohol off campus.[12][13]

The Milligan Stampede is Milligan University's student-run newspaper. It was founded in 1925. Its staff also operate a student-run broadcast news service and news website.

Writing on the article’s talk page, the forum where editors discuss the article at hand, the critic went on: “My main concern that is especially out of place to me is the final image which depicts the use of finger guns, which is arguably completely and utterly irrelevant in the context of different variations of high fives.”

Shanahan’s accident was likely only disclosed over the weekend because he was so severely injured that everyone would have noticed once San Francisco’s training camp opened this week.

Shanahan suffered a concussion, a broken hand, a broken nose, three broken ribs, and he needed 40 stitches on his face, according to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.

I think this is slightly problematic but we're talking boxing so it might be less problematic than other things. Anyway, enjoy this form of the sport from wiki which is absolutely hilarious:
The Irish stand down is a form of traditional bare-knuckle fighting in which lateral movement and evasive maneuvering are minimized or eliminated, emphasizing sustained, close-range striking exchanges.[27] Unlike conventional bare-knuckle boxing, which incorporates footwork and distance management, stand down fighting places participants in a fixed or near-fixed position, often described as "toe-to-toe," where fighters exchange punches with limited opportunity to disengage.[28]

Related to the wildfire repost, from Pratchett: Tax the Rat Farms.
*Shortly before the Patrician came to power there was a terrible plague of rats. The city council countered it by offering twenty pence for every rat tail. This did, for a week or two, reduce the number of rats—and then people were suddenly queueing up with tails, the city treasury was being drained, and no one seemed to be doing much work. And there still seemed to be a lot of rats around. Lord Vetinari had listened carefully while the problem was explained, and had solved the thing with one memorable phrase which said a lot about him, about the folly of bounty offers, and about the natural instinct of Ankh-Morporkians in any situation involving money: ‘Tax the rat farms.’

Damnit I remember this story and this piece of crap. If you can't even be proud enough of your new police chief to talk to the press there's something wrong. Maybe you should think about that a bit. Also bike cops maybe not the absolute worst cops, but are always big fans of petty cruelty.
KSAT originally called Benavides City Secretary Tiffany Bazan on Wednesday to confirm Luckhurst’s position and start date as police chief. Instead of providing the basic public information, Bazan hung up on KSAT journalists multiple times.Luckhurst was a five-year veteran of SAPD and had been assigned to downtown bike patrol for about a year, police officials said.
