the Trump administration wants to stamp out every safe haven. And it’s working: Even hospitals in blue states are dropping gender affirming care rather than fighting the full might of the Justice Department. /10

policing the practice of medicine is the job of the states — the better to pierce the shield of protection many blue states have erected around gender affirming care. Making life as difficult as possible for trans kids and adults in states Republicans control isn’t enough; 9/

But the heart of both cases is clear, argued the hospitals: The government is abusing its broad investigatory powers to attack trans kids under the pretense of probing drug labeling and prescription. And it’s doing so this way to circumvent the reality that 8/

“Is forum shopping evidence of bad faith?” asked Judge Lara Montecalvo, as the hospital and child advocate argued that the subpoenas are not part of a legitimate investigation under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act — as the government claims — but an attempt to endanger trans kids. 7/

“The government moved to enforce a subpoena in a Texas court 1,500 miles from the hospital, its many patients and the records sought by the subpoena — records including personal information for an entire class of minor patients,” said Eric Olshan, the attorney for the hospital. 6/

The growing number of deaths in the Epstein-Trump orbit deserves a thorough investigation to rule out whether any of them are not what they are purported to be: suicides and/or accidents. The latest death happened September 23. 2/

When witnesses, whistleblowers and accusers die, it’s time to look at whether they have anything in common. Here is a list of some of the recent deaths.

The government does not need a conviction to start proceedings, so prosecutors can strip someone’s citizenship based on an accusation alone. US born citizens who were born are not subject to denaturalization under any circumstances, meaning the United States has a two-tier citizenship system. 10

Michael McKeon @grinch67.bsky.social · 7h
The administration has filed at least 250 denaturalization cases this year alone. Between 2008 and 2026, DOJ filed only 166, an average of fewer than 10 per year. 9/

DOJ has ordered prosecutors to aggressively pursue denaturalization proceedings against naturalized Americans with criminal records. In a June 2025 memo, Asst AG Brett Shumate named denaturalization as one of the dept’s five top priorities, and instructed attorneys to take every possible case. 8/

NYS rules requiring vaccines for school attendance are among the strictest in the US. They do not allow students to opt out of vaccinations for religious reasons. That may change. Last year, the US Supreme Court signaled it may favor loosening New York’s requirements. /11
