A fictional tarot card commission and the struggle of finding the right concept.

It’s fictional tarot card “The bite”. The art shows two men standing behind each other. One of the man just have been bitten, by another one. We can see teeth marks on his neck.

A quick sketch of Katara in a swimsuit for practice. I always want my brushstrokes to be more decisive, less smooth and clean. Less controled! But for now, I can’t quite manage it.🥲

A wonderful commission. Such a sensitive piece, and a real pleasure to work on. Cover for a poetry collection. #cover #illustration

This vampire with the cat is on of my last commissions and I'm totally smitten with him. There’s werewolf and a human girl in the company but he’s my favourite. #illustration #vampire #cat

I’m currently working on a really exciting commission in the thriller genre. I’m absolutely loving the mood of this illustration. And once again, I realize how much I love my job. It’s never boring with all of you: authors, DnD players, fans, and all the other creative people out there. 🫶🏻

My latest commission was a book cover illustration. Hockey was totally new territory for me, so it was a challenging but very exciting experience. The book isn’t out yet, but the author allowed me to share the artwork. #bookcover #illustration

I didn’t realize you can’t post more than four images on Bluesky, so here are two more characters to add to the previous post. 😉

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on the character designs and an illustration for @unfortunatereads.bsky.social , and I’m so grateful they trusted me with the project. The characters are fascinating, and if you’re into omegaverse, this book is so spicy and definitely worth a read.🔥😍

Does anyone here use their own photos as references? I recently came across a photo of myself from New Year’s, before the war. I was so happy there, celebrating with family and friends. It made me realize I want to use it as a reference. #lineart #illustration

The witch from the previous sketch showed up in another sketch too. Hmm. And I tried drawing a dragon for the first time. It turned out so-so, but it’s fine for practice. #sketch #bookillustration #fantasy

My little girl isn’t feeling well, so we’re cuddled up watching cartoons, drawing a bit, and then watching some more. So, my today’s sketchbook: home and its owners. Realized I really need to practice drawing cats.🫠 #sketchbook #illustration

I’m reading The Land of the Beautiful Dead and keep wondering: why would a powerful being who has lived for hundreds of years - or more - still crave intimacy and emotional connection with humans? At forty, you can barely find the motivation to get out of bed. What’s the motivation here? We’ll see.

3 hours with electricity per day, and it's freezing cold outside. Central heating for 3-6 hours per day (because it's connected to other apartment building). Did russians strike civil infrastructure before cold wave on purpose? - for sure. What "civilized world" says about it? - oh no, anyway.

I got a request under my Faile drawing on reddit to show her full body so the divided skirt would be visible. I made a few quick sketches. The green one is how I always imagined the divided skirts while reading. Historical clothing inspired the blue version. I didn’t really focus on the top part.

You can see Faile - a character from the Wheel of Time books - in a fashion illustration poses. She’s drawn in a long narrow divided skirt, blouse and vest. First drawing - front view, green suit, long divided between legs skirt; second- front view, blue suit, long divided part of a skirt covered with a peace of long cloth; third drawing - back view, burgundy suit, long divided between legs skirt.

I haven't been here for a long time. I decided to be more active on social medias in the new year. So let’s start with my latest work of Lan and Nynaeve from “The wheel of time”. #TheWheelOfTime #nynaeve #Lan #coupleillustration

The illustration depicts a tall, strong middle-aged man with dark hair touched by gray. He has lifted a woman in a light green dress into his arms. The woman, who has dark braided hair, leans down to kiss him. Steam is coming out of her mouth. It is winter all around, and snow is falling.
