Out of box performance of hotech collimator for comparison

Hohtech collimator laser dots at 10.5m and rotated 90° multiple times. The central spot was circled with a black pen after each rotation. The scattering is ~2cm at most. (The fixation mechanism was not engaged for this measurement)

Adjusted the Laser I use for collimating my Newton. That was needed urgently! 🔭 1) used one screw clamp only first. Had to redo (ticked outlines) 2) only the bright laser spot 3) the sticker is too much (0.1mm)

The laser spot in 10,5 m distance is red elliptical and shows fringes

3 marked patterns on the screen with a ruler showing that the laser spot on the screen hits different locations placed in a circle around the rotation axis when turned. The circle has less diameter from 1-3.
